    Abstract: Method for optimizing a flow network is disclosed. The method comprises: constructing a multidimensional graph representation which is characterized by a plurality of vertices and a plurality of edges, whereby at least one edge of the plurality of edges is associated with a vector quantity over the flow network. The method further comprises formulating a linear programming model over the multidimensional graph representation, and using a linear programming algorithm for obtaining a substantially optimal solution to the linear program model.
