    Abstract: Method for connection of thermoplastic inserts in structural sandwich panels. This connection is realized by ultrasonic welding. According to the invention the insert is introduced in a through opening in a sandwich panel and welded to the opposed outer skins. Welding is realized by engagement of the insert by a welding apparatus at its frontal ends.
