Patent number: 12528905Abstract: An amino-functional addition product from the reaction of at least one diamine of the formula (I) with at least one aromatic diepoxide in a stoichiometric ratio in the range of 1.3 to 1.7 mole diamine per 1 mole-equivalent of epoxy groups. The addition product is liquid at room temperature without a diluent and has surprisingly low viscosity. The composition allows the manufacture of low-emission epoxy-resin coatings that have good workability, cure particularly rapidly and with high surface quality in cold and damp conditions, and allow for a wide range of combinations with other amines and diluents.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 2021Date of Patent: January 20, 2026Assignee: SIKA TECHNOLOGY AGInventors: Edis Kasemi, Oguz Sarioglu, Urs Burckhardt, Andreas Kramer, Ursula Stadelmann, Jochen Grötzinger, Uwe Von Der Brüggen

Patent number: 12516148Abstract: An amine-functional adduct from the reaction of an amine mixture containing at least one diamine of formula (I) and at least one diamine of formula (II) in a weight ratio ranging from 65/35 to 95/5 with at least one diepoxide in a stoichiometric ratio of at least 1.2 moles of diamine of the formula (I) to 1 mole equivalent of epoxide groups. The adduct is liquid at room temperature without diluent even in the presence of a small excess of diamine and is surprisingly low in viscosity. In addition, it is particularly cost-effective, as it is available from an amine mixture that is technically easy to produce. The adduct enables low-emission or emission-free epoxy resin coatings with surprisingly good workability at surprisingly fast curing, which have a high hardness and low tendency to yellowing, and which hardly tend to blushing-related defects even in cold and humid conditions.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 2021Date of Patent: January 6, 2026Assignee: SIKA TECHNOLOGY AGInventors: Edis Kasemi, Oguz Sarioglu, Urs Burckhardt, Andreas Kramer, Ursula Stadelmann, Jochen Grötzinger, Uwe Von Der Brüggen

Patent number: 12325783Abstract: A combination of carbon nanotubes and at least one amine of formula (I) for producing an electrically conductive epoxy resin coating, and to an electrostatically dissipative floor system, which contains the electrically conductive epoxy resin coating. The epoxy resin floor systems are readily-workable, robust, electrostatically, dissipative, and have a largely constant electrical resistance, which have a highly aesthetic, well-ventilated, even surface.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2021Date of Patent: June 10, 2025Assignee: SIKA TECHNOLOGY AGInventors: Jochen Grötzinger, Uwe Von Der Brüggen, Oguz Sarioglu, Edis Kasemi

Publication number: 20230348690Abstract: The use of a combination of carbon nanotubes and at least one zinc oxide, more particularly an aluminium-doped zinc oxide, for producing a transparent, electrically conductive epoxy resin coating, and an electrostatic dissipative floor system which is sealed with the clear, electrically conductive epoxy resin coating that permits aesthetically attractive, transparently sealed, electrostatic dissipative epoxy resin floor systems, onto which more particularly conductive silica sand is scattered, the floor systems thus being particularly slip-resistant, wherein the structure and color of the sand is well visible through the transparent seal.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 31, 2021Publication date: November 2, 2023Applicant: SIKA TECHNOLOGY AGInventors: Oguz SARIOGLU, Jochen GRÖTZINGER, Thomas PUSEL, Uwe VON DER BRÜGGEN, Michael BYRNE

Publication number: 20230312975Abstract: A floor protection system including (i) optionally at least one epoxy resin primer, (ii) at least one polyurethane coating, (iii) optionally quartz sand, which has been scattered into and/or onto the polyurethane coating, and (iv) an epoxy resin sealant, obtained from a resin component containing at least one epoxy liquid resin and a hardener component containing at least one amine of formula (I). The floor protection system has an aesthetically pleasing, hard and robust surface and a good dynamic crack bridging with surprisingly high elasticity of the sealant. The system is particularly suitable as a surface protection system for parking levels and drivable ramps.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 8, 2021Publication date: October 5, 2023Applicant: SIKA TECHNOLOGY AGInventors: Jochen GRÖTZINGER, Uwe VON DER BRÜGGEN, Oguz SARIOGLU, Edis KASEMI

Publication number: 20230103342Abstract: A curing agent for epoxy resins, including 1-amino-3-aminomethyl-3,5,5-trimethylcyclohexane and N-benzyl-1,2-ethandiamine in an amount for the ratio of the number of its amine hydrogens to be in the range of 90/10 to 20/80. The curing agent permits suitable epoxy resin compositions that have excellent workability and that cure particularly rapidly in cold and damp conditions, without blushing-induced surface defects, thus achieving coatings of in particular high hardness, high glass transition temperature and surprisingly little tendency to yellowing.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 22, 2021Publication date: April 6, 2023Applicant: SIKA TECHNOLOGY AGInventors: Edis KASEMI, Oguz SARIOGLU, Urs BURCKHARDT, Andreas KRAMER, Ursula STADELMANN, Jochen GRÖTZINGER, Uwe VON DER BRÜGGEN
