  • Patent number: 8841613
Abstract: A 4D electron tomography system includes a stage having one or more degrees of freedom, an electron source, and electron optics operable to direct electron pulses to impinge on a sample supported on the stage. A pulse of the electron pulses impinges on the sample at a first time. The system also includes a laser system and optics operable to direct optical pulses to impinge on the sample. A pulse of the optical pulses impinges on the sample at a second time. The system further includes a detector operable to receive the electron pulses passing through the sample, a controller operable to independently modify an orientation of the stage and at least one of the first time or the second time, a memory operable to store sets of images, and a processor operable to form a 4D tomographic image set from the sets of images.

  • Publication number: 20030051514
Abstract: The present invention relates to a washing machine, which is capable of forcibly circulating water from the lower portion of a washing tub to the upper portion of the washing tub, thereby enabling circulation washing of the laundry. The washing machine includes a casing, a washing tub, an arrangement for holding the washing tub in the casing and an arrangement for forcibly circulating washing water. The washing tub is mounted in the casing. The holding arrangement serves to allow the washing tub to be positioned to be inclined at a predetermined angle with regard to a vertical axis. The water circulating arrangement forcibly circulates washing water from a bottom of the washing tub to a top of the washing tub and is extended from the bottom of the washing tub to the top of the washing tub.

  • Patent number: 6516484
Abstract: A method of rinsing laundries in a washing machine with a tilted washing tub consisting of an outer tub and an inner tub is disclosed. In the method of this invention, a predetermined amount of water is primarily fed to the washing tub while constantly rotating the inner tub at an initial speed of no higher than a predetermined rpm, with the amount of water being predetermined in accordance with the weight of the laundries to be rinsed within the washing tub. Thereafter, a circulation-rinsing step is performed. In this step, the laundries are rinsed while rotating the inner tub at a second speed, with the water repeatedly circulated from the washing tub to a nozzle provided at the upper portion of the washing tub through a water circulation hose, and sprayed under pressure from the nozzle into the washing tub.
