Abstract: A method for updating a Content Management System (CMS)-agnostic content inventory comprises obtaining from a client device a content item comprising a location identifier and properties, wherein each property is descriptive information regarding the content item, wherein the client device is used by a user accessing a webpage served by a CMS having a content inventory separate from the CMS-agnostic content inventory. The method further comprises retrieving from the CMS-agnostic content inventory a pre-existing content item characterized by the location identifier. The method also comprises, in response to determining that the properties of the content item differ, at least partially, from corresponding properties of the pre-existing content item, updating the pre-existing content item.

Abstract: A method comprising: displaying in a user interface a plurality of records representative of content items publishable on a webpage, wherein each record comprises data descriptive of a corresponding content item; designating, by a processor, a content item as unpublishable, wherein the user interface is updated to reflect the unpublishable designation; and preventing publishing of the content item due to the unpublishable designation. The designating may be performed automatically without user intervention, or based on user input that manually designates the content item as unpublishable. The user interface may display information including title, publication time, digital media, category, and expiration time for each content item, along with interactive unpublish and protect icons enabling toggling of published and protected states.

Abstract: A method comprising: obtaining a content item to be published on a webpage, wherein the content item comprises content to be displayed to a user; calculating an expiration time for the content item based on the content; and upon reaching the expiration time, unpublishing the content item. The calculating may comprise performing freshness prediction using a machine learning tool trained with historic content items and labeled expiration times. The calculating may comprise performing freshness prediction based on time-related keywords in content item titles. The calculating may comprise obtaining a new content item published after the original publication time and determining the new content item renders the original content item expired through content analysis.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and product comprising: loading a webpage at a Content Management System (CMS) platform, the page comprising page elements presenting manually curated content; executing a policy editor displaying management tools configured for defining a webpage policy that assigns to each page element an editorial control level selected from a manually curated control level, a manually curated de-duplication control level, and a personalized control level; incorporating code representing the webpage policy into the webpage; and publishing the webpage for execution on end devices, wherein execution of the code causes replacement of manually curated content with personalized content items from a third-party content discovery server based on assigned control levels and constraints preventing content duplication within the webpage.

Abstract: A method for personalizing webpage content includes receiving a webpage from a Content Management System (CMS) at a client device. The webpage includes content items from the CMS repository, with some items indicated as hand-curated and others as replaceable. The client device identifies replaceable content items and obtains new content items from a CMS-agnostic personalization system. New content items may be selected based on computed user affinity levels. The client device replaces the replaceable content items with the new content items, generating a personalized webpage that includes both hand-curated and personalized content.

Abstract: A method comprising receiving, by a client device, a webpage from a Content Management System (CMS) with sections arranged in a pre-defined layout. A personalization request to a personalization system is issued. A new content items is received and is used to replace existing items in the webpage. Layout personalization is determined based on computed user affinity levels to both new and non-replaced content. The layout personalization is implemented by modifying the pre-defined layout to a different arrangement of sections, creating a modified layout that differs from the original.
