  • Patent number: 9525307
Abstract: A mobile communication apparatus utilizes a first and a second internal battery to provide power to the apparatus' electronic circuitry. A detachable battery may charge the first internal battery, and the first internal battery may provide power the electronic circuitry and charge the second internal battery. When the first internal battery is being charged by the detachable battery, the apparatus is operative by the power from the second internal battery. And, when the second internal battery is being charged by the first internal battery, the apparatus becomes operative by the power from first internal battery. The apparatus further may include a positioning locator receiver used to determine the location of the apparatus, and may be securely attached with a tamper detection circuitry to a person or a subject to be monitored.

  • Publication number: 20160081587
Abstract: A Biometric positioning locator breathalyzer apparatus securely attached to a person to be monitored, used to determine user breath alcohol level, wherein when the user bodily speed reach a certain speed threshold. The apparatus initiates a breath test request signal to determine if the person to be monitored is intoxicated. During breath test performance the apparatus video camera captures the video images of the person performing the breath test procedure, and compares with user video image pictures previously stored in the apparatus processor database to ascertain the authenticity of the user is none other than the person to be monitored. If a given breath test reading found to be above certain threshold level, or the user image found to be other than the person to be monitored, or the user fall to perform a breath test, the apparatus will transmit a violation signal along with the user picture and positioning location information to a monitoring station.

  • Publication number: 20120235860
Abstract: An automatic GPS tracking system consists of a GPS tracking unit secured to a person or an asset that includes a GPS receiver and a first battery powering a processor and first RF transceiver. A home base station receives the RF signal within a pre-selected proximity. A monitoring station which is in communication with the GPS tracking unit such that, if a person or asset having the tracking system secured thereon moves beyond the pre-selected proximity from a home base unit, the first transceiver RF communication signals is lost, and the processor activates an alerting device to indicate the GPS tracking unit is beyond the limited range of the home base station unit. When a second confirmation signal is not received from the home base station unit, a second battery is activated to power GPS receiver and the cellular modem to track the person or asset.
