    Abstract: A cubic boron nitride sintered material comprises cubic boron nitride particles and a bonding material, wherein the bonding material comprises at least one first metallic element selected from the group consisting of titanium, zirconium, vanadium, niobium, hafnium, tantalum, chromium, rhenium, molybdenum, and tungsten; cobalt; and aluminum; the cubic boron nitride sintered material has a first interface region sandwiched between an interface between the cubic boron nitride particles and the bonding material, and a first virtual line passing through a point 10 nm apart from the interface to the bonding material side; and when an element that is present at the highest concentration among the first metallic elements in the first interface region is defined as a first element, an atomic concentration of the first element in the first interface region is higher than an atomic concentration of the first element in the bonding material excluding the first interface region.

The thermoelectric materials have a MgAgAs type crystal structure as a main phase. An area ratio of internal defects of the thermoelectric materials for one thermoelectric conversion element is 10% or less in terms of a total area ratio of defective portions in a scanning surface according to ultrasonic flaw detection in a thickness direction of the thermoelectric material. No defect having a length of 800 ?m or more is present at any vertex of chips of the thermoelectric materials.

The MR device comprises a synthetic antiferromagnetic (SAF) layer that increases exchange coupling field, and in turn, less magnetic noise of such devices. The MR device comprises a first ferromagnetic (FM1) layer and a second ferromagnetic (FM2) layer, in between which is an SAF spacer of RuAl alloy having a B2 crystalline structure which may grow epitaxial on BCC (110) or FCC (111) textures, meaning that the (110) or (111) plane is parallel to the surface of MR device substrate. Further, amorphous layers may be inserted into the device structure to reset the growth texture of the device to a (001), (110), or (111) texture in order to promote the growth of tunneling barrier layers or antiferromagnetic (AF) pinning layers.

The film of the cleaning liquid prevents the face side of the wafer from being dried, lowering the probability that swarf will be introduced into devices on the face side of the wafer. In addition, the consumption of the cleaning liquid can be reduced compared with a step of performing edge trimming on the wafer while supplying a curtain of cleaning liquid to the entire face side of the wafer.
