  • Publication number: 20230404659
Abstract: A system for forming a fistula, including a catheter including a catheter body, an electrode, one or more arrays of magnets, and a plurality of biasing rails. The one or more arrays of magnets are arranged longitudinally along the catheter body. The plurality of biasing rails extend along a length of the catheter body and are configured to radially arch away from the catheter body between a proximal point positioned proximal a first end of at least one array of magnets and a distal point positioned distal to a second end of the at least one array of magnets. The plurality of biasing rails bias the working site and the one or more arrays of magnets against a blood vessel wall. The plurality of biasing rails are joined by a connecting rail that laterally extends between the plurality of biasing rails.

  • Publication number: 20230200878
Abstract: Systems and methods for tumor ablation with controlled precision of a temperature profile utilizing a tumor ablation probe device may include disposing a distal end of the tumor ablation probe device in a tissue, the distal end including a plurality of electrothermal modules (ETMs) on probe arm(s), each ETM including a first surface component electrically connected to a second surface component; supplying a first voltage of a first polarity or a second voltage of a second polarity to at least one ETM, and repeatedly alternating between the first polarity and the second polarity based on a time sequence cycle. When the first polarity is supplied, the ETM heats the first surface component and cools the second surface component, and when the second polarity is supplied, the ETM cools the first surface component and heats the second surface component. Each ETM and/or probe arm is configured for independent control.

  • Publication number: 20230165623
Abstract: Systems for forming a fistula between two blood vessels are provided. In embodiments, the system may include a catheter having a housing and a treatment portion coupled to the housing. The treatment portion may include a thermoelectric generator comprising an exposed surface exposed outside of the housing and a concealed surface opposite and electrically connected to the exposed surface. The thermoelectric generator may be configured to produce a temperature differential between the exposed surface and the concealed surface when an electric current is applied to one of the exposed surface and the concealed surface thereby producing the temperature differential between the exposed surface and the concealed surface such that the exposed surface is heated to a temperature greater than the concealed surface to weld the two blood vessels together.

  • Publication number: 20230013276
Abstract: A cauterization device includes a handpiece configured to be grasped by a user. The handpiece includes a housing, a heat control circuit, and a control switch. A cannula has a cannula lumen, a cannula side wall surrounding the cannula lumen, a cannula proximal end portion, and a cannula distal end. The cannula proximal end portion is coupled to the housing of the handpiece. A stylet has a shaft portion and a distal heat conductive body. The distal heat conductive body is electrically coupled to the heat control circuit. The distal heat conductive body has a first end and a tapered portion that distally terminates at a second end. The shaft portion is located, at least in part, in the cannula lumen. The insulator member is configured to thermally separate the cannula distal end from the distal heat conductive body of the stylet.

  • Publication number: 20210369946
Abstract: A delivery assembly includes a console including a vial containment region and a vial engagement mechanism extending from the console within the vial containment region. The engagement mechanism is configured to engage a vial assembly. The delivery assembly further includes a sled assembly removably coupled to the console at the vial containment region and a safety shield removably coupled to the console over the vial containment region such that the vial engagement mechanism and the sled assembly are encapsulated within the safety shield when the safety shield is coupled thereto. The sled assembly, the vial assembly, and the safety shield are configured to inhibit radioactive emissions from within the vial containment region.
