  • Patent number: 8102303
Abstract: A method for distance measurement and data transmission in a continuous wave radar system is described. A continuous wave radar system has a transmit and receive module and at least one transponder device, a mobile control and monitoring device and an HMI system. Transponder devices are searched for with the aid of an unmodulated continuous wave signal as an interrogation signal, such that the transponder device can send a radio response signal to the transmit and receive module in response to the interrogation signal, as a result of which a data transmission takes place from the transponder device to the transmit and receive module. Upon completion of the data transmission a frequency-modulated continuous wave signal is generated in order to measure, on the basis thereof, a distance between the transponder device and the transmit and receive module.

  • Patent number: 7016647
Abstract: A method and system for transferring data between at least one read/write device (RWD) and at least one mobile data memory (MDM). The mobile data memory (MDM) is preferably attached to an object for recording object-related status and/or process data, e.g. in a dispatch, transport and/or manufacturing system for the individual objects. According to the method, a difference in transfer time between the received data signals of a mobile data memory (MDM) and transmitted data signals of the read/write device (RWD) is determined in the read/write device (RWD) and the received data signals of the mobile data memory (MDM) are processed further in said read/write device (RWD) only if the difference in transfer time which has been determined lies within a predefined transfer time limit.

  • Publication number: 20050107049
Abstract: A circuit (SA) for generating a high-frequency multi-carrier signal (TS) from at least two carrier signals (S1, S2) having respective carrier frequencies (f1, f2). The circuit includes two signal generators (G1, G2) to generate the carrier signals, two high-frequency amplifiers (V1, V2), connected to outputs of the two signal generators respectively, to generate two amplified carrier signals (VS1, VS2) and a high-frequency combiner (HF) connected to the outputs of the amplifiers, to combine the two amplified carrier signals and generate the multi-carrier signal. The two carrier signals have a selected frequency spacing (dF) between them. The ratio of the frequency spacing of the two carrier signals to a frequency of each of the two carrier signals is less than 1:100.
