  • Patent number: 10677811
Abstract: A sample receptacle including one or more receptacle cavities each having an opening dimensioned such that a liquid within the cavity is retained when the cavity opening is oriented downwardly and/or a gas vent in the base of each cavity sized and positioned to allow gases contained within the cavity to egress whilst preventing the egress of liquid at atmospheric pressure. A sample liquid may be poured into the sample receptacle so that the level of the sample liquid is above each cavity opening and the sample receptacle inverted so as to remove liquid above each cavity whilst retaining sample liquid in each sample receptacle when inverted. This may be used for sample separation or to provide relatively uniform sample volumes to sample wells of a sample container when mated. In another embodiment plungers may be used to eject liquid from receptacle wells via an aperture in the base of each receptacle well.

  • Publication number: 20130178390
Abstract: The present invention concerns a system, comprising bacteriophages and particles comprising active agents, in which a first additional peptide is fused to proteins of the bacteriophage, the first additional peptide adheres to the surface of the particle and furthermore a second additional peptide is fused to proteins of the bacteriophage. The second additional peptide can adhere on substrate surfaces. The present invention furthermore concerns the use of the system for delayed release of active agents and also a method for production of the system. The present invention furthermore concerns a method for the selection of phage species from a combinatorial phage population.

  • Patent number: 7919004
Abstract: A method for removing at least one reflective layer (4a, 4b) from an optical element (1) for EUV lithography, wherein the optical element (1) has a substrate (2) and an interlayer (6) between the substrate (2) and the at least one reflective layer (4a, 4b). The method includes etching away the at least one reflective layer (4a, 4b) as far as the interlayer (6) with an etching gas (7), wherein the material of the interlayer (6) does not react with the etching gas (7), and wherein, after the etching away, the interlayer (6) has a surface roughness of less than 0.5 nm rms, preferably of less than 0.2 nm rms, and more preferably of less than 0.1 nm rms. Also, an optical element (1) for reflecting radiation in the EUV wavelength range includes a substrate (2), at least one reflective layer (4a, 4b), and an interlayer (6) arranged between the substrate (2) and the at least one reflective layer (4a, 4b).
