Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for providing value help. In one aspect, there is provided a computer-implemented method. The method may include receiving, at a code list provider, a request from a user interface for code list value help; determining, based on the request, whether to access at least one of a cache and a secondary storage; accessing, by the code list provider, a cache including at least a first code list, the cache implemented in memory, when the determination results in access to the cache; accessing a secondary storage including at least a second code list, when the determination results in access to the secondary storage; and sending, by the code list provider, at least one of the first code list and the second code list to a user interface to enable the user interface to provide code list value help. Related apparatus, systems, methods, and articles are also described.

Abstract: In one aspect, there is provided a method for value help and check. The method may include receiving an indication associated with a user interface element, the indication representing a value help request for the user interface element; sending a request for a value help to a value help business object configured to provide the value help to a user interface including the user interface element, the user interface element bound to a portion of the value help business object; and receiving, at the user interface comprising the user interface element, a response to the request, the response comprising the value help. Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for performing a database access. In one embodiment, a computer system is provided that comprises means for receiving and storing structural information, the structural information being descriptive of a number of objects, each of the objects having sub-objects, the structural information comprising a first table and a second table for each sub-object, the first and second table including descriptive information for each sub-object, means for assigning a unique identifier to each sub-object name identified by the structural information, means for storing a mapping table of sub-object names and unique identifiers, and means for requesting generation of a database table for each sub-object identified by the structural information.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for generating an accounting document. In one implementation, a computer-implemented method is provided. A message is received that includes operational data. An accounting notification is generated that includes the operational data using a first business object. The accounting notification is processed and the accounting document is generated using a second business object. The accounting document includes a number of posting lines corresponding to the operational data. The accounting document is processed and a set of third business objects is assigned to each posting line. The set of third business objects includes at least one general ledger account business object and a plurality of sub-ledger account business objects. One or more data processing tasks are delegated to the one of the third business objects that are assigned to the given posting line.

An identification code is assigned to a business event having a data structure that is represented in the computer system. At least one set of input data, which is provided with a structure specific to a class of business events, is created from data concerning a business event. The at least one set of input data is transformed into a set of output data, which is accessible by at least two business applications. The set of output data is stored with the assigned identification code such that the set of output data can be fully or partly read by the at least two business applications by referring to the identification code.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for configuring software. The software may be configured with wizard-like configuration levels, including configuration levels that may overlay previous ones. In one embodiment, a computer-implemented method is provided for configuring software. The method may include prompting a user to select a scenario for configuring the software, receiving, as input, a selected scenario from the user and further prompting the user to enter configuration data based on the selected business scenario. The method may also include applying at least one template to generate at least one configuration statement for the software, wherein the at least one template comprises a set of rules for generating the configuration statement based on the configuration data entered by the user.
