Abstract: A pinch grip hanger has a hook and a support bar suspended from said hook. A pinch grip is mounted on the support bar along its length, having two jaws, with the first jaw mounted on said support bar in a fixed location, and the second jaw pivotally mounted to the first jaw. The second jaw has a user engagement portion, and garment engaging portion extending downwardly from the support bar. The user engagement portion enables a user to open the pinch grip for insertion or release of a garment. A multi-stage spring with has a plurality of linear portions is mounted on the first and second jaws, biasing the garment engaging portion of said second jaw into engagement with said first jaw. The multi-stage spring has multiple stages of spring engagement, allowing a substantially constant spring bias throughout the range of motion of said pinch grip, and can engage both the first and second jaws. Alternately or additionally, a spring has a safety lock means to maintain spring engagement with the jaws.

A flexible bottom hanger of the garment set hanger is designed to support and display a matching bottom garment of the matched set of garments, such as underwear designed to be worn as a matched set with the dress, or matching pants designed to be worn as a matched set with a top sports or T shirt. The flexible bottom hanger is designed to be flexed inwardly to allow the bottom garment to be easily placed on and mounted onto the flexed bottom hanger, such as by an elastic waist band, and then the flexed bottom hanger is allowed to expand outwardly to conform to different size bottom garments.

The hook receiving loop element includes a passageway for selectively receiving and suspending therefrom a hook of a second ganged garment hanger which is at least partially enclosed along its length by left, right, top and bottom surfaces. In one embodiment, the left, right, top and bottom surfaces define substantially parallel left and right sides and rounded and curved top and bottom surfaces. The passageway is also curved along its length, with the open ends thereof being slightly lower than the center thereof. Several different embodiments of the loop element are disclosed with different length and shape sides, bottoms and ends.

Abstract: A molded plastic garment hanger constituted from two materials which are fused and bonded to form a composite hanger. Also disclosed is a method and apparatus for the two-step or co-injection molding of plastic materials for the formation of the plastic garment hanger construction. The plastic garment hanger incorporates an insert consisting of a second plastic material adapted to have indicia and/or logo means molded therein, and which insert may be fused to the hanger structure so as to form a bond with the first plastic material constituting the basic garment hanger.
