Abstract: The present invention is directed to automated computer-based product market management. A system for supporting product market management is provided, the system configured to receive market information items and to document received market information items in a database, and mutually relating the received market information items; receive information on product decisions and to document received information on product decisions in the database; receive information on dependencies of the product decisions, wherein the dependencies are based on at least one of the market information items and at least one of the product decisions, and to document the information on dependencies in the database; provide access to the database to review the information items for support of the product decisions to identify gaps therein; and initiate a market research request to fill at least one identified gap in the market information items.
