  • Patent number: 8256472
Abstract: A domestic appliance apparatus having a container is connectable to a fluid-containing reservoir that includes a movable actuator for activating a pump for dispensing the fluid. The reservoir is put in communication with the container and the actuator is activated by an auxiliary device to transfer a quantity of fluid from the reservoir to the container. The auxiliary device includes a housing which accommodates a holder for holding the reservoir and an actuator driver for activating the actuator. The auxiliary device may be part of a refilling assembly, which also includes the reservoir and/or the refillable container.

  • Publication number: 20100051133
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of refilling a container (4) for a domestic appliance apparatus (3) from a fluid-containing reservoir (2). The reservoir (2) includes a movable actuator (7) for activating pressure means for dispensing the fluid. According to the method the reservoir (2) is put in communication with the container (4) and the actuator (7) is activated by an auxiliary device (1) to transfer a quantity of fluid to the container (4). The auxiliary device (1) comprises a housing (6) which accommodates a holder (9) for holding the reservoir (2) and an actuator driver (8) for activating the actuator (7). The auxiliary device (1) may be part of a refilling assembly, which also comprises a reservoir (2) and/or a refillable container (4).

  • Publication number: 20090063775
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and a method for a cache partitioning technique for application tasks based on the scheduling information in multiprocessors. Cache partitioning is performed dynamically based on the information of the pattern of task scheduling provided by the task scheduler (405). Execution behavior of the application tasks is obtained from the task scheduler (405) and partitions are allocated (415) to only a subset of application tasks, which are going to be executed in the upcoming clock cycles. The present invention will improve the cache utilization by avoiding unnecessary reservation of the cache partitions for the executing application tasks during the entire duration of their execution and hence an effective utilization of the cache is achieved.

  • Publication number: 20080302251
Abstract: The present invention provides a cartridge (16) for preparing beverages, comprising a container (18) for containing at least one beverage ingredient, wherein the cartridge (16) is adapted to be inserted into a beverage preparation machine (10) in an insertion direction (36) and provided with a shape-encoded recognition code (32) comprising at least two encoding positions (34). The encoding positions (34) are arranged along an encoding line (38), wherein the insertion direction (36) and the encoding line (38) are nonparallel. Moreover the present invention provides a beverage preparation machine (10) comprising decoder means (24) for decoding a shape-encoded recognition code (32) off a cartridge (16) for supplying ingredients for preparing beverages, wherein the recognition code (32) comprises at least two encoding positions, wherein the decoder means (24) are adapted to decode the at least two encoding positions (34) in parallel.
