  • Patent number: 10081370
Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed for systems for a vehicle. An example system for a vehicle includes a head-up display, a central unit having a circuit, connected to the head-up display, and a recording means for recording first image data of surroundings of the vehicle, wherein the circuit is configured to recognize an object in the surroundings based on the recorded first image data, wherein the head-up display is configured to project an image onto a windshield or onto a combiner of the vehicle, and wherein the circuit is configured to generate second image data for outputting the image and to send the image to the head-up display, to generate a virtual barrier in the second image data, and to position the virtual barrier within the image based on a determined position of the recognized object.

  • Patent number: 10071747
Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed for systems for a vehicle. An example system for a vehicle includes a head-up display and a circuit, which is connected to the head-up display, wherein the head-up display is configured to project an image onto a front windshield of the vehicle or onto a separate combiner, wherein the circuit is configured to output image data to the head-up display, whereby the image data have a set of objects which include messages for the user, to determine a user's workload level, based on a set of driving conditions, to switch between at least one first workload mode and a second workload mode based on the level, whereby the second workload mode is assigned a higher level than the first workload mode, and in the second workload mode to reduce at least one object, which is output in the first workload mode.

  • Patent number: 9400188
Abstract: A vehicle multimedia system simplifies a user's interaction with the system. A user may access a specific media unit by actuating a switch corresponding to a media unit. A preference unit detects the user's selection of the media unit and selects an end item based on a programmed criterion. The preference unit may automatically activate the end item. The preference unit may be overridden by the user when a switch corresponding to the selected media unit is actuated multiple times. The preference unit may also manage data lists and data packets that store the information used for the criterion comparison.
