  • Patent number: 7258371
Abstract: A connection system for conduits, fittings or assemblies which are intended for carrying a fluid acted upon by a pressure (p1), in particular for systems carrying carbon dioxide. The connection system comprises a first coupling part such as a housing part, a second coupling part such as a plug part, and is capable of being introduced into the first coupling part along an axis. At least one gas-permeable circumferential seal is arranged in a groove in one of the two coupling parts. One coupling part is capable of being plugged with a shank into a round receiving orifice of the other coupling part. After plugging-in, the circumferential seal seals off a gap between the outer radius of the shank and the inner radius of the receiving orifice.

  • Patent number: 7100908
Abstract: The invention relates to a damper arrangement, in particular an air spring strut, comprising a shock absorber having an essentially cylindrical housing and an air spring with a working space which is under internal pressure, and comprising an additional volume which can be connected to the working space via a closable flow duct. It is proposed to enclose the additional volume by a hollow body which surrounds the shock absorber which can be fastened thereto and is formed from an outer cylinder and an inner cylinder, which is connected to the latter and, in particular, is arranged concentrically.

  • Patent number: 6883779
Abstract: A receiving part of a fluid plug-in coupling is provided, including a socket housing having a plug-in opening for a plug part and having a retaining device for releasably fixing the plugged-in plug part in place. The retaining device has a retaining element mounted in the socket housing and radially elastically deformable retaining sections for latching engagement behind a radial retaining step of the plug part. A release element is secured in an axially displaceable manner relative to the socket housing via latching means. The release element engages by means of an inner release section the plug-in opening and acts against the retaining sections of the retaining element. A securing element is provided such that the release element is blocked in a secured position agains a release movement and is unblocked in an unblocked position for a release movement.

  • Publication number: 20050051382
Abstract: The present invention relates to a silencer for the damping of noises occurring in pneumatic pressure systems as a result of pressure blow-off flows from a pressure side to an atmosphere side. The silencer consists of a housing surrounding an expansion space, with a pressure-side inlet for the blow-off flow and with an opposite atmosphere-side outlet. A damping element consisting of a porous material through which a flow is capable of passing is arranged within the expansion space in the vicinity of the inlet. The damping element has a flow area through which a flow is capable of passing, which is larger than the inner cross-sectional area (A1) of the expansion space.

  • Publication number: 20040251584
Abstract: A novel type of customizing kit for a vehicle air suspension system, comprising an additional air spring volume with a connecting line which can be connected to a vehicle main air spring volume, and with a switching device for selective connection or disconnection of the additional air spring volume. The switching device is arranged in the area of the connecting line and is designed such that when it is in an open position, it releases the cross section of the connecting line virtually completely for flow to pass through in both directions and when it is in a closed position, reduces the cross section to a specific residual opening cross section, such that this results in effective closure of the connecting line by use of a Helmholtz effect in a specific region of an excitation frequency of the oscillating air volume.

  • Publication number: 20040080157
Abstract: The present invention provides for a pipe fitting for a panel, especially for a panel of a lid for a container, as on a container wall. A pipe section protruding from the panel is provided wherein the front of the pipe fitting is fastened to the panel in the assembled state. A flange having a groove for a seal and a pipe socket extend from the pipe section for passing through an opening in the panel. The pipe socket forms a positive fit connection to the panel through deformation to the assembled state and the seal provides a non-positive fit against a surface of the panel.
