  • Patent number: 5522197
Abstract: The invention relates to a method in connection with a roof drainage apparatus and a roof drainage apparatus. The invention comprises a trough (2) recessed in a roof structure (1), an opening (3) arranged in the bottom of the trough, a water-outlet tube (4) joined to the opening and a means (5) for changing an open water flow into a closed flow when the water flow is increasing. For intensifying the drainage, an element (6) is positioned in the water-outlet tube (4) at a throat after the opening (3), by means of which element the cross-sectional area of the water-outlet tube (4) is regulated in such a manner that the shape of the cross-section of the water-outlet tube (4) remains substantially unchanged at the regulation.

  • Patent number: 5433192
Abstract: The invention relates to a breathing mask comprising a mask portion (1) covering the mouth and nose of the wearer and a heat exchanger portion (2) made of a material capable of recovering heat and fitted in the mask portion (1), inhalation and exhalation air being arranged to flow through the heat exchanger portion to recover heat and moisture contained in the exhalation air and to transfer it into the inhalation air. To achieve a simple, light structure having no disadvantageous environmental effects, the mask portion (1) and the heat exchanger portion (2) are made of the same material, preferably of a biodegradable material.

  • Patent number: 4683685
Abstract: A draining arrangement for removing water from roofs or equivalent areas wherein the aim of the arrangement is to improve the draining effect making it possible to use smaller draining pipes, and further to avoid disturbing noise in the pipes. The arrangement is mainly characterized in that the opening (4) of the vertical water pipe (3) is situated directly at the surface (1) of the roof and is covered by a lid element (5). This lid is situated at a height (h.sub.c) over the roof that a certain predefined amount of water can flow under the lid where the water stream while on its way to the opening of the vertical draining pipe and without changing its direction, continuously changes to closed flow simultaneously as the air entrance becomes closed.

  • Patent number: 4652365
Abstract: A waste screen for roof drainage outlet located substantially in the plane of the roof consists of an outlet opening in the roof and a plate covering the opening having a circumference and vertical distance from the roof plane so that at least at dimensioning flow amount air is prevented from being sucked in beneath the plate edge and the gap between the plate and roof plane constitutes the outlet port. The water on its passage from the pitch to the outlet opening always passes through the outlet port, which ensures that in dimensioning cases the outlet opening and subsequent pipe are entirely filled with water. A screen extends about the circumference of the plate (4) and comprises a screen wall (7), which extends from the roof plane (1) to a plane above the plane through the circumference (circumferential edge) of the plate (4).

  • Patent number: 4492491
Abstract: A rain water roof outlet for a building for conducting rain water from a roof as an airless flow, i.e. as a full water flow. The arrangement includes a vertical pipe which at its upper end is connected to a wider trough mounted at the level of the roof. In the trough, above the mouth of the vertical pipe, is mounted a lid, which by special formation of its shape or by means of additional elements is adapted to increase the friction against the water flowing towards the mouth of the vertical pipe. This friction counteracts the tendency of creating whirls in the water stream and thereby contributes to producing full water flow in the vertical pipe by preventing air entry. The lid is preferably a net.

  • Patent number: 4136691
Abstract: A respiration mask comprising a mask portion and a heat exchanger through which inhalation and exhalation air flows for the recovery of humidity and humidity contained in the exhalation air. The heat exchanger consists a continuous strip of wire netting wound helically to form a cylindrical netting roll comprising several turns. The flow of air takes place radially through the netting roll.
