  • Publication number: 20240092574
Abstract: A method of measuring level deviation in an automated storage and retrieval system, wherein the system includes rail system, at least one container handling vehicle, and a central control unit. The rail system includes a first set of parallel rails arranged to guide movement of a container handling vehicle in a first direction across the top of a frame structure, and a second set of parallel rails arranged perpendicular to the first set of rails to guide movement of the container handling vehicle in a second direction which is perpendicular to the first direction. The first and second sets of parallel rails divide the rail system into a plurality of grid cells. The at least one container handling vehicle is configured to operate on the rail system. The at least one container handling vehicle is provided with at least one orientation sensor configured to measure at least one orientation parameter of the sensor in a three-dimensional cartesian reference system.

  • Publication number: 20230286758
Abstract: A system for condition-based monitoring of an automated storage and retrieval system includes a framework structure forming a three-dimensional storage grid structure for storing storage containers for storing items. The grid structure forms vertical storage columns each having a horizontal area defined by the size of an access opening of the vertical storage columns. The framework structure includes a rail system arranged above the storage columns. The rail system includes a plurality of rails extending in an X-direction and a Y-direction to form a grid. The rails define a perimeter of each access opening on top of each storage column. The rail system provides available routes in the X-direction or the Y-direction for container handling vehicles handling and transferring the storage containers to and from the storage columns. At least one container handling vehicle has two or more sensors, directed to monitor a section of the rails adjacent of the container handling vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20230211953
Abstract: An automated storage and retrieval system for storing product items includes a framework structure with upright members and horizontal members and a storage volume including storage columns between the members. The framework structure includes a rail system arranged above the members. The automated storage and retrieval system further includes storage containers in which the product items are stored and container handling vehicles moving along the rail system for transporting the storage containers. The storage containers are stackable in stacks within the storage columns. The rail system includes rails and each rail includes tracks. Adjacent tracks of at least one rail of the rail system are separated by a ventilation slot extending in a vertical plane between two adjacent storage columns.

  • Publication number: 20230183004
Abstract: A remotely operated delivery vehicle for transport of a storage container includes a vehicle base, rolling device motors, a power source, a container carrier, and a rotational drive. The vehicle base includes rolling devices configured to move the remotely operated delivery vehicle in a horizontal plane along tracks of a rail system. The rail system includes a first set of parallel rails arranged in a first direction and a second set of parallel rails arranged in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The rolling device motors drive the rolling devices. The power source is configured to provide propulsion power to the rolling device motors. The container carrier is supported by the vehicle. The container carrier is configured to receive the storage container from above and/or from a side and onto or at least partly into the container carrier. The rotational drive is configured to rotate the container carrier, and any storage container supported thereon, relative the vehicle base.

  • Publication number: 20230174302
Abstract: A container handling vehicle for lifting a storage container from an underlying framework structure includes a vehicle body and a container lifting assembly for lifting the storage container. The vehicle body includes a wheeled base, a support, and at least one cantilevered section. The wheeled base includes a first set of wheels, arranged on opposite sides of the vehicle body, for moving the vehicle along a first direction on a rail grid at a top level of the underlying framework structure, and a second set of wheels arranged on other opposite sides of the vehicle body, for moving the vehicle along a second direction on the rail grid, the second direction being perpendicular to the first direction. The support includes a lower end connected to the wheeled base and an upper portion connected to the cantilevered section. The container lifting assembly includes a lifting frame and a plurality of lifting bands.

  • Publication number: 20220363477
Abstract: An automated storage and retrieval system includes a three-dimensional storage grid for storing storage containers; first and second container handling vehicles operating on the storage grid; and a central communication system for controlling and communicating with the container handling vehicles for handling storage containers in the storage grid. The automated storage and retrieval system includes a barrier separating the three dimensional storage grid into a first section and a second section. The barrier has two states: a first state in which the container handling vehicles are allowed to move between the first section and the second section; and a second state, in which the container handling vehicles are physically prevented from moving between the first section and the second section by means of the barrier.

  • Patent number: 10761603
Abstract: A method is disclosed for providing increased accessibility for users of a computing device. The method may include analyzing content on a display device to identify a plurality of interactive elements most likely to be interacted with. The method may also include causing each of the plurality of interactive elements to be highlighted in a different manner. The method may additionally include causing a plurality of graphical elements to be displayed, where each of the plurality of graphical elements may be associated with a different interactive element and may visually correspond with highlighting of its associated interactive element. The method may moreover include determining a location of the user's gaze on the display device and causing a particular interactive element to be activated, based at least in part on the user gazing at its associated graphical element, where activation of the particular interactive element causes display of new content.
