  • Patent number: 8935822
Abstract: The present invention relates to a modular ramp constructions that facilitate the passage of objects over obstacles on a surface such as a doorstep or a flight of stairs. Specifically the present invention relates to a construction that facilitates the passage of a wheelchair or other appliances used by physically handicapped persons over such obstacles. The construction comprises wedge elements (1) that can be adapted to the given dimensions and requirements of a ramp construction, to which purpose the length of the wedge elements (1) can easily be shortened and where the wedge elements (1) are provided with means (6) for releasable attachment to adjacent tile elements (8) of the modular ramp construction, thereby making it possible quite easily to assemble and afterwards dismantle the construction when it is to be adapted to another application.

  • Patent number: 8100676
Abstract: The invention relates to a rotor for a positive displacement rotary pump. The rotor comprises a hub with an aperture and a center axis through aperture and at least 2 lobes radially extending from hub and in a direction essentially perpendicular to the axis of hub. The rotor comprises a core of a first polymer material and a cover of a second polymer material, which second polymer material has a hardness which is lower than the first polymer material. The first and the second polymer materials are connected to each other. The hub or the major part of the hub is preferably provided by the core, whereas at least a part of the lobes is provided by the cover. The invention also relates to a method of providing the rotor and a pump comprising the rotor.

  • Patent number: 7908802
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for constructing tread surfaces comprising polygonal elements (1) where each element has a top surface and a number of substantially straight side edges arranged perpendicular to the top surface along the periphery of said top surface and that all side edges (2) are provided with a number of receiving openings (3) each opening adapted to receive and maintain a connector member, and that said elements (1), furthermore, along one or more of said side edges (4) are provided with one or more integrated and protruding connector members (5) which each are adapted to fit into said receiving openings (3).

  • Patent number: 6718588
Abstract: For facilitating the passage of wheelchair users over door thresholds it is known to lay out ramp elements across the threshold, this however being an expensive solution even implying that the door cannot be closed. The invention provides for a ramp set suited to be laid out at both sides of the threshold so as to leave the top side thereof uncovered, whereby the door can still be opened and closed. The ramp construction is modular based on the use of light, joinable plastic tile elements of ordinary shape and wedge shape, respectively, and this makes it possible to build up non-costly, tailored ramp constructions in more general, with an associated possibility of reusing the tile elements.

  • Patent number: 6702515
Abstract: A corner support element for paving slabs has stackable plate elements to facilitate transport and for height adjustment. The guide and support elements for corner parts of paving slabs, namely plate elements, have cruciform upright support and distance providing projections. The projections are shaped as upwardly tapering elements with open cavities downwards for accommodating corresponding underlying projections. The elements are modular and can be separated along radial rows of projections to form semicircular segments for supporting two adjoining slab corners or quarter segments for supporting only a single corner. The elements are stacked in columns without turning each of the modular parts mutually between them.

  • Patent number: 4934116
Abstract: Modular tiles, integrated with a flooring of a conducting type, are manufactured of electrically conducting plastic, whereby a grounding ability is achieved without sacrificing any advantage of the modular tiles. The conducting modular tiles may be laid in selected places in an assembled flooring and can be shifted to other places in dependence upon specific requirements. The individual conducting tiles may be connected to a grounding wire laid out beneath the tiles such that none of the flooring will be far from a direct ground connection.
