  • Patent number: 11773941
Abstract: A hydraulic vibration damper may include inner and outer tubes filled with damping liquid, a piston rod projecting axially out of the inner tube and movable in rebound and compression directions, a sealing and guide pack that sealingly closes an end of the outer tube and guides piston rod movement, a working piston for producing damping forces that is fastened to the piston rod and is guided on an inner lateral surface of the inner tube and subdivides the interior of the inner tube into a piston rod-side and piston rod-remote working spaces. The vibration damper has rebound and compression stops. In the piston rod-remote working space, a compression stop, starting from a predetermined retraction travel of the piston rod, may produce a travel- and speed-dependent compression stop force.

  • Publication number: 20180355944
Abstract: A vibration damper with hydraulic damping of a pressure stage stop may include a working piston guided in a damper tube along a longitudinal axis. The working piston may be disposed on a piston rod leading out of the damper tube. For damping the pressure stage stop, a tubular body may be disposed in the damper tube, within which an auxiliary piston can be accommodated such that the auxiliary piston is guided along the longitudinal axis. A spring element may pre-stress the auxiliary piston towards the working piston. Upon a drive-in movement of the piston rod into the damper tube, a stop piston that is movable with the working piston comes to lie against the auxiliary piston and together with the auxiliary piston plunges into the tubular body under a hydraulic damping effect and under compression of the spring element. Consequently, a damping agent in the tubular body may flow through the auxiliary and stop pistons.

  • Patent number: 9920810
Abstract: The present invention relates to a damping valve for a shock absorber, comprising a base body with a first support body and with a second support body and comprising one or more valve spring discs which separate a first damping fluid space from a second damping fluid space, wherein the valve spring discs are supported against the first support body via an inner edge support, and against the second support body via an outer edge support, and which control a passage of damping fluid in both directions by virtue of the fact that the valve spring discs lift-off either from the inner edge support or from the outer edge support, by elastic deflection. According to the invention, a stroke movable control body is provided which is prestressed against the valve spring discs, so that the control behaviour of the valve spring discs can be adjusted via the edge supports by the prestress of the control body.
