  • Patent number: 9689788
Abstract: In a method for measuring fine particulates in the vicinity of a motor vehicle with an optical receiving device, at least one LED (2, 3) arranged inside the motor vehicle lights up an outside air region. The optical receiving device is designed to capture the area under examination in a spatially localized manner and takes an intensity measurement in an area that is lit by the LED. The intensities measured are analyzed for diffraction patterns that depend on the size of the fine particulates. Additionally, a portion of the light that is coupled into the windshield is also analyzed for the presence of water on the windshield.

  • Publication number: 20150214582
Abstract: With a battery with two electrodes, at least one separator, at least one reference electrode and an electrolyte, conclusions are to be drawn on its ageing state through measuring the electro-chemical properties. This is achieved by the reference electrode being in contact with the separator, and the reference electrode having a device assigned to it for measuring the impedance.

  • Publication number: 20150179067
Abstract: In a method for delivering a warning of a hazardous road surface state for application in a travelling motor vehicle in which the air temperature is measured, a targeted prediction of the road surface state is to be made so that the output of a warning can be avoided in many cases in which such a warning was not objectively justified. This is achieved by means of a contactless measurement method by which means the moisture of the road surface is determined and by means of which the temperature of the road surface is determined where a value describing the road surface state is determined taking into account these three measured values. The warning is then delivered depending on the value describing the road surface state.

  • Publication number: 20150136376
Abstract: A method for determining at least one control signal for controlling an air conditioning system for an interior space of a vehicle. Depending on measured state variables of the interior climate, an interior climate value is calculated from measurements of the interior temperature and from measurements of the interior air humidity by a signal-processing function. An air quality value describing the air quality is calculated from measurements of the percentage of volatile organic compounds in the internal atmosphere by a signal-processing function. A control signal for an air conditioning system is calculated from the interior climate value and the air quality value by at least one signal-processing function. Further, a device for performing the method as well as to a vehicle with the device.
