  • Patent number: 7280674
Abstract: A reduced glare imaging system for motor vehicles. The reduced glare imaging system includes at least one light source capable of modulation, a synchronization system including structure for obtaining a time reference, and a processor for determining a fixed time based upon which roadway a motor vehicle is disposed. The fixed time can be used to determine a repeating time slot. The imaging system also includes a trigger for modulating emissions of periodic light pulses from the light source. Accordingly, the periodic light pulses can be synchronized with the repeating time slot. A receiver is also provided with the system for receiving radiation resulting from the light pulses being scattered by objects. The radiation can be received during a gating period which correlates to the light pulses. The radiation can be presented as images on a display.

  • Publication number: 20060129421
Abstract: A novel business method of novel ideas, inventions and scientific proposals evaluation and commercialization is suggested. A private, government or universities supported (virtual from the very beginning) an Internet connected agency (entity) open for every scientist has to be created. Every scientist can submit his IIPs to the agency and can become a member of the agency. Every member can participate in evaluation and review of any submitted IIP. All members should sign nondisclosure/nonusage agreement. According to this agreement, during a predetermined a period of time any info from the agency database cannot be disclosed to anybody (except the members), used in any way or explored by a member without permission of an author. All reviewers will be ranked by the agency. All submitted IIP also will be ranked and presented for sale on the web sites of the agency. The rank of the reviewers will depend on their ability to predict long term fate of submitted to the agency IIPs.

  • Patent number: 7045783
Abstract: A reduced glare imaging system for motor vehicles which includes at least one light source capable of modulation. The system also includes a synchronization system which has structure for obtaining a time reference, and a trigger for modulating emissions from the light source. The trigger initiates emission of periodic light pulses from the light source at fixed times relative to the time reference. The fixed times can be randomly selected. The light pulses can have a wavelength in the range of 0.19 ?m to 5 ?m.

  • Publication number: 20030193980
Abstract: A reduced glare imaging system for motor vehicles. The reduced glare imaging system includes at least one imaging device for receiving images. The imaging device receives light signals for image processing in a first operational state and does not receive the light signals for image processing in a second operational state. An electromagnetic detection unit is provided for detecting electromagnetic signals generated by a second imaging system. A synchronization unit is also provided for signaling the imaging device to change operational states in response to a detection of the electromagnetic signals generated by the second imaging system.

  • Publication number: 20020191388
Abstract: A device and method for vehicular invisible road illumination and imaging is provided. The device includes invisible for human eye and precisely synchronized for all vehicles pulsed laser or nonlaser sources of light to illuminate the road. The design and method of the invention involves providing a low probability of being blinded by oncoming vehicles and illumination of the road by light pulses which are shorter than the time which is necessary for the light pulse to travel the illuminated distance observed by the driver.

  • Patent number: 4141777
Abstract: A method of preparing doped single crystals of cadmium telluride in a single ampoule accommodating a graphite container provided with an opening.Cadmium and a dopant are directly placed in the ampoule, and tellurium is placed in the graphite container. The ampoule is heated at a temperature at which cadmium vapors are formed to penetrate through the opening, together with vapors of the dopant, into the graphite container wherein they react with tellurium vapors and melt to form cadmium telluride. As the temperature grows higher, cadmium telluride is converted into melt which is then subjected to directive crystallization. The resulting crystal is cooled at a rate not exceeding 15.degree. per hour. The crystals thus obtained have the following properties:Lifetime of electron-hole combination .tau. -- up to 3.times.10.sup.-6 s;Electric resistivity .rho. -- up to 10.sup.10 Ohm. cmConcentration of charge carriers less than 10.sup.8 cm.sup.-3.
