Abstract: A system and method for transmitting and receiving data using a mobile terminal, and a multifunction peripheral in the same system. A transmitter informs a mobile terminal that there is data to transmit, and the mobile terminal searches a printer to print the data and receives printer information about the printer from the searched printer. If the printer is accessible through a wired network, the transmitter transmits the data to the printer. Otherwise, the transmitter transmits the data to the mobile terminal and the mobile terminal transmits the data to the printer. The printer prints the received data. Accordingly, even if a receiver has no facsimile, the receiver can obtain a hardcopy of facsimile data using the mobile terminal.

Abstract: A printing system which dedicatedly stores a printing image, and a method for using the same. The printing system comprises a printer server for storing a plurality of images and connecting to a network, and an image forming apparatus for receiving a print job comprising an image from a information processor connected to the network, requesting the printer server search for the image and upon transmission of the requested image, printing out the image. Accordingly, resources required for image processing can be saved. In addition, printing speed can be enhanced by receiving and directly printing out the dedicatedly stored image.

Abstract: An image-forming device having a printout page-editing function and a method thereof is provided, wherein the printout page-editing function includes an interface unit for receiving the plurality of images and information on the plurality of images from the external device, a page-editing unit for editing pages for printout by arranging the plurality of images in an order that requires the minimum number of pages for printout in which the plurality of images are printed according to the information, and a printer engine for printing the plurality of images arranged on the pages for printout output from the page-editing unit. Accordingly, embodiments of the present invention edit the pages for printout to arrange as many images as possible in one page for printout, thereby saving pages during printout.
