    Abstract: Novel system and methodology for protecting privacy of a computer device's user. A privacy protection device interacts with the computer device to enable the user to operate in multiple private modes. The system involves a data storage coupled to the privacy protection device, via a secure link, such as a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) tunnel that provides an encryption protocol. The data storage is divided into multiple storage sections corresponding to the multiple private modes. Each section is configured for storing encrypted data supporting a particular private mode. The privacy protection device enables the user to set a selected private mode and runs software applications that use the data from the storage section corresponding to the selected mode.

    Abstract: A system is provided for controlling data communication between a computing device and a network access device over a physical medium. The network access device may be configured for providing access of the computing device to a remote computing resource over a network link. The system involves a Media Access Control (MAC) device for performing a MAC protocol to support data communication between the computing device and the network access device and a physical layer (PHY) device that connects the MAC device to the physical medium. Data path circuitry is provided between the PHY device and the MAC device for transferring signals from the computing device to the network access device, and from the network access device to the computing device. The data path circuitry is controlled to establish a unidirectional signal transfer mode between the computing device and the network access device by preventing the signals from being transferred to the network access device.

    Abstract: A secure access device for providing secure access of a computing resources (CR) user, such as a cloud user, to remote computing resources offered by multiple CR providers, such as cloud providers. The device has a network interface circuit for providing interface to a data network configured for accessing the remote computing resources offered by the multiple CR providers. A network access controller is configured to interact with the network interface for controlling access of the CR user to the remote computing resources. Multiple data storage sections may be provided. Each of them keeps computing environment data (CED) associated with a particular CR provider. The CED define a secure local computing environment prescribed by the CR provider for accessing the remote computing resources offered by this CR provider. The network access controller enables the CR provider to manage the CED and prevents the CED from being modified even by the CR user.

    Abstract: A METHOD FOR PROTECTION COMPUTER MEMORY AGAINST UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS includes partitioning data received via communication links and instructions for controlling the processing of data incoming from a protected computer by means of an external controller. To substantially eliminate any breach in the firewall all the messages received in a communication session are logged into an external storage locked at the side of the protected computer, the external storage input is locked, and independently of CPU, long-term storage and operating storage of the protected computer, messages are sorted into textual and/or iconic files, program files and files of undefined type, and the demand in the files received and admissibility of their usage in the protected computer is individually determined. A DEVICE FOR CARRYING OUT THE METHOD comprises an external storage, a controllable input switch and a controllable output switch connected to the external controller.

    Abstract: Novel system and methodology for server protection by preventing the protected server from receiving packets supplied by a user and/or preventing the server from transmitting packets to the user. A server protection device has a user communication mechanism for controlling communication with the user and a server communication mechanism for controlling communication with the server. A user information extracting mechanism extracts predetermined information and removes external address information from user packets sent by the user for delivery to the server. A user information control mechanism checks the extracted predetermined information to allow acceptable information to pass to the server communication mechanism and to prevent unacceptable information from passing to the server communication mechanism. Internal packets produced by the protection device and containing the acceptable information are transferred by the server communication mechanism to the server.
