Abstract: An olfactory training device and method replicating one or more aromas typical of any man-caused or natural incident or accident, especially such aromas accompanied by or originating in open, smoldering, or smoking fire. Such aromas may originate from burning tissue, bones, cartilage, or other bodily materials. Such burning aromas may also originate from other synthetic or natural materials. One or more such olfactory training devices may be dispersed in a manner to engage the olfactory-sensory system of a trainee. The olfactory training device may be classroom-deployed, field-deployed, laboratory-deployed, or deployed via any type of setting-deployable training device or protocol.
