  • Patent number: 9660476
Abstract: A circuit assembly for discharging an electrical energy store includes a first discharge current path for uncontrolled, passive discharging of the energy store and for keeping a defined charge voltage of the energy store, and a second discharge current path for controlled, active discharging of the energy store. A semiconductor switch electrically connects to a positive current connection of the energy store and to a negative current connection of the energy store. A voltage limiter includes a first current connection for electrically connecting to the positive current connection of the energy store and a second current connection for electrically connecting to the negative current connection of the energy store. The circuit assembly further includes a first control path for providing a first control signal from the first current connection of the voltage limiter to the control connection of the semiconductor switch in order to control the semiconductor switch.
