  • Publication number: 20240158529
Abstract: CD38 is expressed on malignant plasma cells. CD28 is a costimulatory molecule required for T-cell activation and survival. Provided herein are novel anti-CD38 antibodies, anti-CD28 antibodies, and bispecific antibodies (bsAbs) that bind to both CD38 and CD28 and act as costimulatory agents to activate T cells via binding CD80 and/or CD86. In certain embodiments, the bispecific antigen-binding molecules of the present invention are capable of inhibiting the growth of tumors expressing CD38. The bispecific antigen-binding molecules of the invention are useful for the treatment of diseases and disorders in which an upregulated or induced CD38-targeted immune response is desired and/or therapeutically beneficial. For example, the bispecific antibodies of the invention are useful for the treatment of various cancers, including multiple myeloma, lymphoma, and leukemia.

  • Publication number: 20240081987
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to prosthetic valves having a frame, a frame cover, and a leaflet construct. Some aspects are directed to a diametric taper for the prosthetic valve for achieving enhanced performance of the prosthetic valve under operational conditions, enhanced compressibility and delivery characteristics, and other additional or alternative advantages. Other aspects are directed toward unique assembly and attachment methods for securing leaflet constructs to support structures. Other aspects are directed toward features for interacting with transcatheter delivery systems. Still other aspects are directed to such apparatuses, systems, and methods for valve replacement, such as cardiac valve replacement.

  • Patent number: 6994509
Abstract: A carriage with a front end and a rear end can be stowed in a truck box or truck platform, and deployed to a position on the ground behind the truck by providing a lift apparatus having a transfer arm with one end pivoted with respect to the truck and the other end pivoted to the front end of the carriage. Guides are mounted on the lift apparatus to guide the carriage during movement. The carriage has wheels adjacent the rear end, and a powered mechanism, typically hydraulic, is adapted to move the transfer arm between its two extreme positions. As the transfer arm begins to move away from the position in which the carriage is stowed in the truck, the front end of the carriage lifts upwardly while the carriage moves rearwardly, supported and guided by roller guides, until the wheels at the rear end of the carriage contact the surface on which the truck is standing. This causes the carriage to disengage from the roller guides and eventually the carriage comes to a stop resting on the surface.
