    Abstract: Systems and methods for reducing in-container skinning of a coating composition include an optional float disposed on top of an aqueous coating composition in a can and a hydrophobic evaporation suppressing layer disposed on top of the float layer or the coating composition, the hydrophobic evaporation suppressing layer or monolayer being relatively impermeable to water vapor and having a composition that allows it to spread in a thin layer on the float or the coating composition, thereby reducing in-container evaporation.
