  • Patent number: 10452756
Abstract: A platform for customized rendering of markup language (ML) documents into a document in a device specific language that is subsequently provided for display by a target remote device. A rendering context for the target remote device and an ML document is received by the platform, which performs processes that can paginate and fully render pages that are subsequently delivered for display by the target remote device. A post-rendering process may also be provided to perform additional processing of media items for the device specific language document. This additional processing may include including links to or embedding media items in pages of the device specific language document. The remote device can be arranged as a client device that provides for wired and/or wireless communication over a network.

  • Patent number: 7853248
Abstract: A system, apparatus, and method are directed towards managing abuse of text messages through controls on messages sent by an application to a mobile device (e.g., MT text messages). MT text messages sent from a defined application are intercepted by a Text Message SPAM Control Service (TMSCS). Various controls are determined for the sending application based on the application, level of user control on contents of the message, the user requesting the message to be sent (if any), and/or a destination address for the message. These controls may then be used in various combinations and/or various levels of constraint to determine whether to block transmission of the message to a destination mobile device. By monitoring messages from the application, abuse of the application may be minimized.

  • Publication number: 20090063267
Abstract: One or more intelligence tasks can be selected by a user on a mobile device. Once the user completes all or portions of an intelligence task, the user's performance of the intelligence task is validated by comparing the user's performance with the performance of the same intelligence task by other users. If the user's performance is validated, the user is provided with an award. In another aspect, the system is directed to collecting information regarding capabilities of various mobile devices through the performance of intelligence tasks. Intelligence tasks that prompt a user to identify or verify capabilities of a mobile device are provided to the user. Based on the validated performance of these intelligence tasks, information regarding the capabilities of various types of mobile devices is obtained. The obtained capability information is utilized to enable rendering of content on one or more mobile devices.

  • Publication number: 20080177825
Abstract: A platform for customized rendering of an editable mobile markup language document for a mobile device. A rendering context and an editable mobile markup language (MML) document for the mobile device is received by the platform, which performs processes that can paginate and fully render pages that are subsequently delivered for display by the mobile device. The MML document and its modules and content are independent of the rendering context for the mobile device. The mobile device can be arranged as a client device that provides for wired and/or wireless communication over a network.
