Abstract: A building construction includes a wall, floor or ceiling assembly wherein a pair of walls or the like each include adjacent wallboards having edge formations defining a mating tongue and groove configuration. The wall pairs are supported in a stable manner by metal posts having a variety of edge flange configurations and which are captively secured within the confines of each wallboard tongue and groove joint. Tight joints between adjacent wallboards and the posts are insured by the formation of one or more kerfs in the area of the wallboard joints and which engage portions of the entrapped posts to provide enhanced rigidity throughout the wall height. By angling the post edge flanges outwardly and providing correspondingly angled wallboard kerfs, maximum structural integrity is achieved with use of minimum thickness wallboards.

Abstract: A wall system includes a plurality of wall sections secured to one another or to fixed building structure through a peripheral framework of profile elements each having a web bounded by pairs of large and small flanges respectively defining deep and shallow grooves. The shallow grooves serve to engage and retain the edges of panels which are held against the large flanges while rigid splines are insertable within opposed deep grooves of adjacent profile element-equipped panels to interlock the plurality of wall sections. By employing various width splines, alternate spacing between wall sections is achievable and various supplemental members such as shelf brackets or trim elements may be installed over the exposed portions of the splines.

Abstract: A structural panel including a board (2) to form a surface (3) and a structural post (1) to provide strength, wherein the supporting post is located at the edge of the board and the bearing direction of the structural post is perpendicular to the board surface, and the board and the structural post are joined by means of a groove (4), where the joining direction of the groove is in the plane of the board and is perpendicular to the edge of the board. Such a structural panel may be used in house construction.
