    Abstract: The invention realizes an improved sealing unit for the electrolyte of electric batteries which includes a container which is closed through a cover. The cover is provided with annular elements circumscribing the holes which let the poles pass by and be coupled to the elements which are housed in the container. The sealing unit includes a tubular ring nut which is coupled in the interspace existing between the pole and the hole, and which cooperates with at least a first sealing gasket. The first sealing gasket is included between the pole, the cover and the ring nut, and realizes with them an annular sealing area.

    Abstract: The invention discloses a lid suited to be used on batteries of the "re-combination" type or of the "KAMINA" type realized with a single manufactured article moulded of plastic material. The manufactured article presents an essentially flat surface (6), a series of holes (4) aligned in relation to one another communicating with each element of the battery, a plurality of caps (11) lodged in said holes and a channel (5) for conveying the fumes generated by the battery and having its ends facing the external surface of the lid. With such an embodiment the lid is suited to be used on batteries of the "KAMINA" type, since it suffices for this purpose to place a tube for the exhaust of the fumes at at least one end of the conveyance channel (5). On the other hand, when the lid according to the invention is to be used on batteries of the "re-combination" type, it is sufficient to insert at the end of the re-conveyance channel (5) at least one one-way valve and sealing means such as OR rings under each cap (11).

    Abstract: The invention discloses a device for exhausting fumes formed inside accumulators. A chamber formed in the lid of the accumulator communicates with exhaust ducts connected with one another and the accumulator re-fill openings. An anti-explosion paste is located in the chamber and is kept in position by the adherence of a removable cap having a through-going central exhaust opening. A shoulder in the chamber presents a surface against which the anti-explosion paste rests and defines a pre-chamber between the paste and the exhaust duct. The bottom of the pre-chamber has an opening allowing it to communicate with the underlying elements of the accumulator and to drain condensed vapor.

Each opening has in its inner part at least one projecting grip pawl. At least one elastic handle with at least one projecting tooth is positioned at each of its ends. The central body of the handle is entirely lodged inside a housing made in the upper portion and each end is coupled within one of the openings which are situated in the upper portion. When the handle is lifted, its projecting teeth engage in the corresponding projecting grip pawls of the lid, thereby allowing the accumulator to which the lid is connected to be lifted.
