  • Patent number: 10022741
Abstract: An apparatus includes a selectively actuated fluid system having a plurality of selected fluid reservoirs, for example replaceable cartridge-type fluid reservoirs. A first subset of the reservoirs can be selectively actuated to dispense an individual fluid from the selected reservoir. A second subset of the reservoirs can be simultaneously actuated to dispense two or more fluids in mixed form.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 21, 2015
Date of Patent: July 17, 2018
    Assignee: NSE Products, Inc.
Inventors: Kevin Gregory Fuller, Oliver Brian Godbold, Rebecca Ann Wilkins, Henry Charles Innes, Carl Gordon Hewett, Iain Ansell

  • Patent number: 9005215
Abstract: A specimen retrieval apparatus includes a housing having an elongated tubular member extending distally therefrom. The elongated tubular member defines a longitudinal axis. An end effector assembly is coupled to a distal end of the elongated tubular member. The end effector assembly is configured to retain a specimen retrieval bag thereon. An articulation mechanism is operatively coupled to the elongated tubular member and the end effector assembly. The articulation mechanism is configured for selectively articulating the end effector assembly with respect to the longitudinal axis of the elongated tubular member.

Date of Patent: April 14, 2015
    Assignee: Covidien LP
Inventors: Simon Roderick Grover, Oliver Brian Godbold, Alistair Ian Fleming, Charles Alan Seegert
  • Patent number: 8734464
Abstract: A surgical retrieval apparatus includes a housing defining a longitudinal axis and including an elongated sleeve extending distally therefrom. The housing and the elongated sleeve cooperate to define a lumen extending longitudinally therethrough. A shaft having an end effector disposed at a distal end thereof is selectively translatable between a first position, wherein the end effector is disposed within the elongated sleeve, and a second position, wherein the shaft is translated through the lumen such that the end effector extends distally from the elongated sleeve. An articulation mechanism operably coupled to the end effector is configured for articulating the end effector relative to the longitudinal axis. A specimen retrieval bag is coupled to the end effector and is deployed therefrom upon movement of the end effector from the first position to the second position.
