  • Patent number: 10170958
Abstract: A belt pulley arrangement for a belt drive for driving auxiliary units of a motor vehicle, comprising a belt pulley for introducing a torque that can be supplied by a traction mechanism, an output shaft for driving an auxiliary unit, particularly a coolant pump, an electric machine for transmitting torque between the belt pulley and the output shaft, the electric machine including a rotor connected to the belt pulley and a stator connected to the output shaft, and being able to be electrically connected to an electric energy source for the purpose of accelerating the output shaft and/or to an electric energy sink in order to decelerate the output shaft, a first rotational speed measurement device for detecting the time curve of the rotational speed of the belt pulley and/or a second rotational speed measurement device for detecting the time curve of the rotational speed of the output shaft, and a control device connected to the electric energy source and/or electric energy sink so as to control an output shaf

  • Patent number: 10125850
Abstract: A roller device for a traction mechanism drive of a motor vehicle, with a roller element for introducing a torque provided via the traction mechanism and a driven shaft for driving an auxiliary unit. The roller device has a magnetic coupling for non-positive torque transfer between the roller element and the driven shaft. The magnetic coupling has a primary-side unit connected to the roller element with a primary magnetic element and a secondary-side unit connected to the driven shaft with a secondary-side magnetic element. The magnetic elements are permanent and/or electromagnetic elements. The non-positive torque transfer is realized by magnetic fields of the primary-side and secondary-side magnetic elements. At least one magnetic element of the two units for changing the magnetic field overlap of the magnetic fields of the primary-side and secondary-side magnetic elements is movably arranged within its unit. A corresponding traction mechanism drive and method are provided.

  • Patent number: 9915198
Abstract: A belt pulley arrangement for a belt drive to drive auxiliary units of a motor vehicle, having a belt pulley for introducing a torque that can be provided via a flexible drive means, an output shaft for driving an auxiliary unit, in particular a cooling water pump, and an electric machine for the transmission of torque between the belt pulley and the output shaft, wherein the electric machine has a rotor connected to the belt pulley and a stator connected to the output shaft. As a result of the power flow between the belt pulley and the output shaft, which can be influenced by the electric machine, it is not necessary to design the auxiliary unit that is attached via the output shaft for the least beneficial operating point, so that the auxiliary unit can be dimensioned smaller and a reduction in the installation space for motor vehicle components, in particular the installation space for auxiliary units of a motor vehicle that can be driven via the belt drive, is made possible.

  • Publication number: 20140375159
Abstract: A roller device for a traction mechanism drive, with a roller element for introducing a torque provided via the traction mechanism and a driven shaft for driving an auxiliary unit of a motor vehicle. The roller device further has a magnetic coupling for torque transfer between the roller element and the driven shaft. The magnetic coupling has a primary-side unit connected to the roller element having a primary magnetic element and a secondary-side unit connected to the driven shaft with a secondary-side magnetic element. The magnetic elements are permanent and/or electromagnetic elements and the torque transfer is realized by magnetic fields of the primary and secondary-side magnetic elements. At least one magnetic element of the two units for changing the magnetic field overlap of the magnetic fields of the primary and secondary-side magnetic elements is arranged movably within its unit by the centrifugal forces occurring during operation.
