  • Publication number: 20090219705
Abstract: A device for electrically connecting a sensor element, which is accommodated in an engine add-on component, to evaluation electronics. The engine add-on component and the evaluation electronics are electrically connected to one another via contacting lines. The evaluation electronics is accommodated in a swiveling part of a hybrid holder which is movable relative to a part of the hybrid holder which is attached to the engine add-on component.

  • Publication number: 20080296281
Abstract: The invention relates to a glow plug (11) comprising a combustion chamber pressure sensor (19) for an internal combustion engine. Said plug essentially consists of a housing (13), a glow element (17) that is located in the housing (13) and a channel (21) for measuring the combustion chamber pressure. An inventive heating element, (26) which is connected to the channel (21), prevents the clogging of the combustion chamber pressure sensor (19) that is located at the end of the channel (26) by coking or combustion residues. The glow plug (11) comprising a combustion chamber pressure sensor (19) is preferably used in the automobile industry.

  • Patent number: 7431003
Abstract: The present invention relates to a sheathed-element glow plug (1) for an internal combustion engine, essentially made up of a plug shell (2) and a glow element (3) that is electrically connected to the plug shell (2), as well as an integrated pressure sensor. The sheathed-element glow plug (1) has at least one elastic element (4; 204, 204?; 304) that is situated between the inner surface (10) of the plug shell (2) and the glow element (3), this element forming an electrical contact both to a part of the inner surface (10) of the plug shell (2) and to a part of the glow element surface (7), and this element being deformable when a force acts on the glow element (3), and this element permitting a relative movement between the glow element (3) and the shell (2).
