Patent number: 12637348Abstract: A method for detecting fuel fraud when refueling a vehicle at a filling station comprises obtaining, in conjunction with a current refueling operation in which the vehicle is refueled at the filling station, current refueling information, determining if there is a mismatch between the obtained current refueling information and historical refueling information which is based on a plurality of past refueling operations in which comparable vehicles were refueled, and raising a potential fraud warning based at least in part on a determined mismatch. The current refueling information comprises at least: first information indicating a distance the vehicle traveled since at least a previous refueling operation, second information indicating a duration and/or progress of the current refueling operation, and third information indicating an amount of fuel dispensed by a fuel pump in the current refueling operation.Type: GrantFiled: July 26, 2024Date of Patent: May 26, 2026Assignee: ryd GmbHInventors: Klaus Esser, Oliver Goetz, Johannes Martens

Patent number: 12129928Abstract: A standstill seal prevents leakage of a process fluid when a shaft is not rotating. The seal includes a flexible band surrounding the shaft that includes a thick, substantially rectangular center region from which thinner side regions extend. Application of pressurized control fluid to a rear surface of the band causes the central region to extend through a gap between cover plates to form a seal with the shaft or an intermediate structure. Depressurizing of the control fluid causes the central region to be withdrawn from the shaft, either entirely due to elasticity of the band, or with the assistance of springs. In various embodiments, the seal is formed radially inward or axially. The side regions can be substantially flat or curved. The standstill seal can be unitary with a rotating shaft seal, and can be upstream or downstream thereof. The control fluid can be the process fluid.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2022Date of Patent: October 29, 2024Assignee: Flowserve Pte. Ltd.Inventors: Johannes Wolf, Guenter Nadolski, Detlev Ulrich Steinmann, Michael Schiller, Oliver Goetz, Jonathan Kleiner, Berthold Vogel

Patent number: 9617761Abstract: The disclosure relates to a motor vehicle door lock, having a locking mechanism that includes a rotary latch and at least one pawl. A drive for acting on the locking mechanism is also provided. A blocking element which interacts with the pawl has at least one pawl arm which holds the pawl in a latching position. Finally, a stop arm is realized on the blocking element and/or on the pawl and/or on a release element, the stop arm acting as a stop for the drive. The blocking element is arranged on an edge which is averted from the rotary latch and also so as to laterally overlap the pawl.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2014Date of Patent: April 11, 2017Assignee: Kiekert AktiengesellschaftInventors: Michael Scholz, Oliver Goetz

Patent number: 9092496Abstract: A distributed system for administration and storage of data includes a data manager to access a local data store. Several data managers can be chained to form a layered hierarchical structure. All data layers are merged top down to form the resultant data records. Fields can be modified or added in each layer. The system is self organizing in that each data layer only knows about its superordinate data layer. The system provides scalable persistent data storage with centralized data management and the option to locally extend and modify data.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 2006Date of Patent: July 28, 2015Assignee: SAP SEInventors: Oliver Goetz, Michael Barth

Patent number: 8656413Abstract: A wrapper can receive a request for application data. The wrapper wraps a first reference to an cross-session object and a second reference to a wrapper mapper object. Thereafter, the cross-section object can be accessed using the first reference and the wrapper mapper object is polled using the second reference to access a session-local object. Related apparatus, systems, methods, and articles are also described.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 2006Date of Patent: February 18, 2014Assignee: SAP AGInventor: Oliver Goetz

Patent number: 8473896Abstract: A method is provided for providing one or more services by a service provider to a service consumer. The method may include defining a meta-model describing at least one core service and at least one compound service; creating a model for the core service based on the meta-model; and implementing the core service on the service provider based on the model. The method may also include implementing the compound service on the service provider and implementing a generic access interface on the service consumer to dynamically access the core service and the compound service.Type: GrantFiled: July 8, 2010Date of Patent: June 25, 2013Assignee: SAP AGInventors: Frank Brunswig, Thomas Fiedler, Oliver Goetz, Stefan Rau, Stefan Wenneker, Volker Wiechers

Patent number: 8015168Abstract: A start index and a length are obtained for a subset of a text sequence buffered within a parser. A string pool containing a plurality of pooled string objects is polled to determine whether any of the pooled string objects contain the subset of the text sequence buffered within the parser by using the start index and the length. One of the pooled string objects is used if it contains the subset of the text sequence, otherwise, the generation of a new pooled string object in the string pool containing the subset of the text sequence is initiated. Related techniques, apparatus, systems, and articles are described.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 2007Date of Patent: September 6, 2011Assignee: SAP AGInventor: Oliver Goetz

Publication number: 20070073736Abstract: The present invention provides computer-implemented methods and systems for providing a transformation directive in a data type definition statement. The transformation directive specifies one or more transformations to be applied to data before it is stored in a variable of the data type being defined. The runtime framework interprets the transformation directive and applies the transformation to data which is assigned to a variable of the data type that was defined; and stores the transformed value to the variable.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 23, 2005Publication date: March 29, 2007Inventor: Oliver Goetz

Publication number: 20060288017Abstract: Methods and systems, including computer program products, implementing techniques for generating documentation for a product. The techniques include receiving a set of feature descriptions for a product, receiving a document template, receiving user data about a first user and different user data about a second user, and receiving mapping information that maps user data values to product features; then, for each user, using the mapping information and the respective user data to identify product features that are of interest to the user, and generating documentation for the product specific to the user, including reading the document template, and for each feature description referred to in the document template, adding the feature description to the documentation if the feature description describes one of the product features identified as being of interest to the user, otherwise, not adding the feature description to the documentation.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 17, 2005Publication date: December 21, 2006Inventor: Oliver Goetz
