Patent number: 10614695Abstract: A gas-measuring device includes a control unit, a gas sensor module, a radio receiver unit, a first radio transmitter unit and a second radio transmitter unit. The control unit detects sensor data via the gas sensor module in a first operating state and upon detecting a potential hazardous state, based on the sensor data, changes over into a second operating state. The control unit further detects one or more radio signals, which indicate respective characteristics of respective portable transmitter units, by the radio receiver unit in the second operating state, and determines, on the basis of the radio signals, which of the transmitter units have a sufficiently close proximity in space to the gas-measuring device. The control unit provides the characteristics of the transmitter units, having a sufficiently close proximity in space, via the first radio transmitter unit.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2018Date of Patent: April 7, 2020Assignee: DRÄGER SAFETY AG & CO. KGAAInventors: Ulf Ostermann, Livio Fornasiero, Oliver Harnack, Winfried Schöch, Wulf-Gerd Traving

Patent number: 7902535Abstract: A functional molecular element is provided. The functional molecular element is adapted to change, by application of electric field, conformation of a disc shape like organic metallic complex molecule (1) which forms a columnar arrangement structure to exhibit function, wherein the structure of the organic metallic complex molecule is changed by application of electric field so that anisotropy of dielectric constant is changed. Accordingly, conductivity between measurement electrodes can be switched. As its stable value, there are three kinds of stable values or more. Thus, elements or devices to which such multi-value memory characteristic is applied can be constituted.Type: GrantFiled: February 2, 2005Date of Patent: March 8, 2011Assignees: Sony Corporation, Sony Deutschland G.m.b.H.Inventors: Eriko Matsui, Haruo Watanabe, Oliver Harnack, Nobuyuki Matsuzawa, Akio Yasuda, Tadashi Mizutani, Takae Yamauchi, Susumu Kitagawa

Patent number: 7679080Abstract: A functional molecular device displaying its functions under the action of an electrical field is provided. A Louis base molecule, exhibiting positive dielectric constant anisotropy or exhibiting dipole moment along the long-axis direction of the Louis base molecule, is arrayed in the form of a pendant on an electrically conductive linear or film-shaped principal-axis molecule of a conjugated system, via a metal ion capable of acting as a Louis acid. The resulting structure is changed in conformation on application of an electrical field to exhibit its function. The electrically conductive linear or film-shaped principal-axis molecule and the Louis base molecule form a complex with the metal ion. On application of the electrical field, the Louis base molecule performs a swinging movement or a seesaw movement to switch the electrical conductivity of the principal-axis molecule.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2005Date of Patent: March 16, 2010Assignees: Sony Corporation, Sony Deutschland G.m.b.H.Inventors: Eriko Matsui, Nobuyuki Matsuzawa, Akio Yasuda, Oliver Harnack

Patent number: 7408184Abstract: A functional molecular element whose functions can be controlled by an electric field based on a new principle. A Lewis base molecule (14) with positive permittivity anisotropy or a dipole moment in the major axis direction of the molecule is disposed, via a metal ion (3) that can act as a Lewis acid, in a pendant-like form on a key molecule (2) in the form of a line or film that has a conjugated system and exhibits conductivity, thereby forming a functional molecular element 1 that can realize a function where the conformation changes due to the application of an electric field. The conductive key molecule (2) and the Lewis base molecule (14) form a complex with the metal ion (3). When an electric field is applied in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the paper in FIG. 1(b), for example, the Lewis base molecule (14) performs a 90° “neck twisting” movement with the up-down direction in the drawing as the axis.Type: GrantFiled: December 25, 2003Date of Patent: August 5, 2008Assignee: Sony CorporationInventors: Eriko Matsui, Oliver Harnack, Nobuyuki Matsuzawa, Akio Yasuda
