  • Patent number: 7523975
Abstract: A storage compartment for a vehicle has a storage compartment cover which is pivotably mounted toward two sides. The latter can be pivoted either toward one side or toward the other side. In order to design the storage compartment such that it can be operated as simply and conveniently as possible and is secure, provision is made for the storage compartment cover to have two locked axes of rotation in its closed position. After one axis of rotation is released, a driving device automatically pivots the storage compartment cover in a damped manner into an open position.

  • Publication number: 20060163898
Abstract: The invention relates to a storage compartment (1) for a vehicle, having a storage compartment cover (2) which is pivotably mounted toward two sides. The latter can be pivoted either toward one side or toward the other side. In order to design the storage compartment (1) such that it can be operated as simply and conveniently as possible and is secure, provision is made for the storage compartment cover (2) to have two locked axes of rotation (21, 22) in its closed position. After one axis of rotation (21) is released, a driving device (3) automatically pivots the storage compartment cover (2) in a damped manner into an open position.

  • Patent number: 6176385
Abstract: A container for installation beside seats in vehicles, especially for installation as a center console between the front seats of a motor vehicle, has a housing that is box-shaped and open at the top. A lid is pivotable around a pivot axis integral with the housing and simultaneously designed as an arm rest which covers the housing opening. A latching device is operable between the housing and the lid for locking the lid in pivot positions on the housing that modify the height of the arm rest. To provide an economical and stable adjustability of the arm rest, which requires only a small amount of space for installation, a latching device consisting of a latching strip and latching member is provided on an underside of the housing that is opposite the pivot axis of the lid. The latching member has a latching pin guided displaceably lengthwise on the lid and the latching strip is mounted on a housing wall of the housing that extends transversely to the displacement direction of the latching pin.

  • Patent number: 5921613
Abstract: An arrangement guides a swing-out sliding door of a vehicle body without a center guide rail which is visibly disposed on the outside on the vehicle body side wall. One linearly constructed guide rail respectively is fixed within the door opening on its upper and lower edge on the vehicle body side. A roller carriage to which the sliding door is linked by way of a control arm parallelogram travels in each guide rail. One closing roller respectively guided in each guide rail travels at the end of the door closing sliding movement into a circular closing groove branching off the guide rail in the direction of the sliding door. The closing roller is fixed to one of the control arms of the control arm parallelogram. The closing groove is constructed such that its curvature center in the door closing position of the roller carriage coincides with the roller-carriage-side hinge axis of the control arm carrying the closing rollers.
