Abstract: A method for controlling the formation of a fiber web of a fiber or paper producing process includes a plurality of successive individual method steps in which controllable chemical and/or physical sequences or process steps are carried out in dependence on measured values. The materials required for the formation of the fiber web are treated, combined, and/or dewatered in the sequences or process steps. At least some of the measured values are detected inline and directly or indirectly used in order to control the formation. At least the manipulated variables, which influence the formation in a relevant manner, of the individual sequences or processes are formed dependent on definable secondary conditions during the entire process.

  • Patent number: 8349136
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for optimizing the energy balance of a forming section in a machine for producing fibrous webs, in which a fiber suspension, which is fed to the forming section by way of a material ramp after the immobility point is reached, is passed through at least two dewatering units within a compression zone and to a subsequent functional unit. The invention is characterized in that a setpoint value for a target dryness to be set is predefined based on the existing dewatering elements as a function of a theoretical maximum achievable dryness under plant conditions in the area of the transition zone, said setpoint being selected such that it is less than the theoretical maximum achievable dryness but is equal to or greater than a required minimum dryness in the area of the transition zone, and that the target dryness is controlled by lowering the inlet dryness at one of the last dewatering units disposed in the direction of passage of the fiber suspension within the compression zone.

  • Patent number: 6453335
Abstract: In a method, apparatus and program product for providing an internet third party data channel, an existing data channel is monitored for a data communication having a predetermined property. Upon detection of such data communication, a data source is accessed to obtain third party data, the data communication is modified or replacing in response to the third party data, and the modified or replaced data communication is sent to the originally intended recipient.
