  • Publication number: 20240392117
Abstract: Methods of making barriers including nanopores and crosslinked amphiphilic molecules, and barriers made using the same, are provided herein. In some examples, a method of forming a barrier between first and second fluids includes forming at least one layer comprising a plurality of amphiphilic molecules, wherein the amphiphilic molecules comprise reactive moieties. The method may include using first crosslinking reactions of the reactive moieties to only partially crosslink amphiphilic molecules of the plurality to one another. The method may include, after using the first crosslinking reactions, inserting the nanopore into the at least one layer. The method may include, after inserting the nanopore, using second crosslinking reactions of the reactive moieties to further crosslink amphiphilic molecules of the plurality to one another.

  • Patent number: 10862224
Abstract: A splice sealing device including a first electric cable having an electrical conductor and an insulative cover, a second electric cable having a further electrical conductor and insulative cover, a junction joining the electrical conductors of the first and second electrical cables, a housing which has at least two housing parts mated to each other and which delimits an inner space for accommodating the junction, and a first cable exit in the housing. The first cable extends through the first cable exit, which includes a first chamber accommodating a first cable seal positioned on the first insulative cover of the first cable and sealing the first cable against the housing. The first cable exit is an integral part of a first housing part, and the first cable exit includes an annular wall axially delimiting the first chamber to the outside in extension direction of the first cable.

  • Patent number: 4483266
Abstract: A sewing machine having a power-driven needle has an endless feed belt for moving workpieces beneath the needle. The belt stops and advances, and there is provision for measuring the movement of the belt upon each advance of the belt. In response to this measurement, the belt is stopped, thereby to ensure that the belt moves only a predetermined distance beneath the needle each time the belt advances. To advance the belt, there is a friction roll in contact with the belt, a back-up roller on the opposite side of the belt from the friction roll, and structure selectively to apply the back-up roll forcibly against the belt and to move the back-up roll away from the belt, thereby respectively to drive the belt and to interrupt the drive to the belt.

  • Patent number: 4152829
Abstract: The invention relates to a cloth-cutting machine with a sword-knife, provided with a band sharpening device, an elastic hold-down and all the parts being in contact with the cloth sheet to be cut are coated with an anti-friction polytetrafluorethylene coating. The machine is driven by an electromotor and can be characterized in that in the sharpening head band tensioning arms are arranged, on said arms changeable heads are mounted, furthermore the machine is provided with a control spindle performing regulation by means of a tension spring and a nut bolt. The rod pressing the cloth in an elastic manner is provided with the toothed retaining member, the casing leading the same, with the spring built into said casing, with a retaining lever, a further spring and with an arm for the release of the retaining member. The machine according to the invention ensures excellent quality of the cloth-sheet cut, economical operation of the machine and reduced display of physical strength.
