  • Patent number: 10962459
Abstract: For measuring rheological properties of a liquid sample, the sample is attached to two sample attachment surfaces opposing each other in a pulling direction. The sample attachment surfaces and the liquid sample attached thereto are arranged in a field of view of a light microscope and imaged onto an electronic camera by means of an objective lens of the light microscope. One of the two sample attachment surfaces is pulled away from the other one in the pulling direction, while a plurality of images of the sample attachment surfaces and the sample attached thereto are registered with the camera. For different distances of the two sample attachment surfaces, both a diameter of the liquid sample in a middle between the two sample attachment surfaces and the respective distances of the two sample attachment surfaces are determined from the images registered with the electronic camera during the step of pulling.

  • Patent number: 9809344
Abstract: A labeling unit for applying labels to containers includes a label removing device, a vacuum drum, and a gluing device. The vacuum drum receives labels at a first transfer position and delivers them to a second transfer position. The gluing device is arranged within an angular region of rotary motion of the vacuum drum between the first and second transfer positions. The vacuum drum moves labels past the gluing device. The label removal device removes either labels or label residues that remain on the vacuum drum in the angular region.

  • Patent number: 8402721
Abstract: A container labeling machine gluing apparatus which has a rotatable glue roller and a glue dispenser for dispensing glue onto the glue roller. The apparatus also has a glue thickness adjuster which adjusts the thickness of a glue layer on the glue roller. The glue thickness adjuster comprises a spring element and a glue contact element connected to the spring element, which spring element presses the glue contact element into contact with glue on the glue roller. The glue contact element is disposed upstream of remaining portions of its glue thickness adjuster in the direction of rotation of the glue roller.
