  • Publication number: 20230145917
Abstract: A process for producing cement clinker, may involve preheating raw meal in a preheater, calcining the preheated raw meal in a calciner, and burning the preheated and calcined raw meal in a furnace to give cement clinker. The furnace may be supplied with a combustion gas having an oxygen content, and the temperature within the furnace is ascertained. The process may involve cooling the cement clinker in a cooler. The oxygen supply to the furnace is under closed-loop control as a function of the temperature ascertained within the furnace. The temperature ascertained is compared with a target value and, in the event of any variance of the temperature ascertained from the target value, the oxygen supply to the furnace and/or to the calciner is increased or decreased. The target value is adjusted depending on a particle size distribution and/or a lime standard.

  • Publication number: 20220340117
Abstract: A method for controlling the operation of a hydraulic braking system of a vehicle and in particular a vehicle drivable using muscle power and/or—in particular additionally—using motor power, an electric bicycle, e-bike, pedelec, or the like. In the method, it is checked whether a discharge condition for discharging an accumulator of the braking system is met. If the discharge condition is met, initially a controllable inlet valve in a primary circuit of the braking system is set into a partially closed state over a predefined duty cycle, in particular of 10%, and/or for a predefined time span and then an outlet valve of the accumulator is opened for a predefined time span—continuously or in intervals—so that brake fluid is discharged from the accumulator via the outlet valve, the primary circuit, and the inlet valve into a reservoir of a master cylinder of the primary circuit.

  • Patent number: 10175066
Abstract: A system for detecting the absolute rotational angle of a shaft rotatable more than one revolution includes a drive wheel connected to the shaft to rotate therewith. The drive wheel includes measurement sectors adjacent to one another in a circumferential direction. First and second driven wheels are engaged to the drive wheel. First and second sensors monitor rotational positions of the driven wheels to thereby detect an absolute rotational angle of the shaft. A third sensor monitors a relative angular position of the shaft in relation to a detected one of the measurement sectors to thereby detect the relative angular position of the shaft within one revolution of the shaft. The detected absolute rotational angle of the shaft is refined with the detected relative angular position of the shaft to thereby generate the absolute rotational angle of the shaft with more precision.

  • Publication number: 20180334188
Abstract: A method and system is disclosed to operate a vehicle pulling a trailer through a cornering maneuver is disclosed. An outer, concave edge and an inner, convex edge of a negotiable road are identified. A path of travel is determined for an inner wheel of the trailer of the vehicle. A first directrix is determined on which a guide point of the vehicle must move in order to pull the inner wheel along the determined path of travel. A second directrix is determined, on which a outer, front wheel of the vehicle must move in order to pull the guide point along the first directrix. A concave-side distance between the outer, front wheel and the concave edge is estimated. When the difference between the distance on concave-side and convex-side exceeds a threshold value, the convex-side distance is adjusted to be closer to the concave-side distance.

  • Patent number: 9331350
Abstract: A diagnostic system for determining whether a rotor shaft of a compressor is unbalanced. The compressor includes a displacement sensor that measures the displacement of the rotor shaft as it is rotating. The sensor dynamic frequency signal is sent to a bandpass filter that filters out an eigen-frequency frequency that is a function of shaft elasticity and rotor dynamics. The filtered frequency signal is then rectified by a rectifier to make the filtered frequency signal positive. The rectified signal is then passed through a low pass filter that converts the rectified signal to a DC signal. The DC signal is then sent to a controller that determines if the amplitude of the signal is above a predetermined threshold, which indicates a problem with the balance of the compressor.

  • Patent number: 9166238
Abstract: A system and method for regulating the pressure within a volume between a pressure regulator and an injector that injects hydrogen gas into the anode side of a fuel cell stack. The method includes delaying a copy of the a pulsed signal that controls the opening and closing of the injector a predetermined period of time and provides a bias signal from a look-up table that is determined by a desired average mass flow of the hydrogen gas flow to the fuel cell stack and the pressure at an upstream location of the hydrogen gas flow from the pressure regulator. The method selects the bias signal as a pressure regulator control signal that controls the pressure regulator when the delayed pulse injector signal is high and selects an arbitrary value at or near zero as the pressure regulator control signal when a delayed pulse injector is low.
