In example embodiments, a landing webpage having a plurality of categories from which a user at a mobile device may begin a non-textual navigation sequence to navigate to an item of interest is provided. A first non-textual input of the non-textual navigation sequence that indicates a selection of a category is received from the mobile device. A plurality of subcategories of the selected category and a search result having a plurality of item selections identified based on the selected category are determined. At least one further non-textual input of the non-textual navigation sequence is received that causes adjustment to a visualization of the plurality of item selections to facilitate non-textual navigation to the item of interest. The adjusted visualization of the plurality of item selections is provided for display on the mobile device.

The identities of the plurality of users are ranked in a queue. When one of the plurality of users purchases a product in a flash sale, the rank of the user in the queue is improved. Variable item price discounts may be offered to users in a flash sale based on rank or based on demand (or lack thereof). If the item is a limited inventory item, discounts may be offered to the highest ranking members. Flash sales may be created based on comparison of registered user product preferences and product inventory.

Abstract: Systems and methods to assist buyers in selecting compatible components of a product are described. The system identifies a product associated with a plurality of component classes. Next, the system identifies a list of items by searching for items based on the component classes. The system then receives a selection of a first item. After a selection of the first item has been received, the system generates a list of compatible items by removing items from the identified list of items that are incompatible with the first item. Finally, the system presents the buyer with a user interface communicating the list of compatible items.
