  • Patent number: 10384727
Abstract: A method for producing a node structure includes providing at least two pre-manufactured profile components having respective profile ends provided with corresponding abutment surfaces; positioning the profile ends in a pressing tool so that a homogenous gap is formed between the abutment surfaces; performing a pressing process in the presence of a fiber-containing plastic mass in the pressing tool for generating a connecting node that form fittingly connects the profile ends, wherein the fiber containing plastic mass also enters into the gap.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 7, 2016
Date of Patent: August 20, 2019
    Assignee: Audi AG
Inventors: Florian Eidmann, Oliver Schauerte, Karl Durst
  • Patent number: 9914490
Abstract: A frame structure for a motor vehicle body includes at least two profile components and a connecting node, which connects the profile components with each other. At least one of the profile components has at least one console which is made of fiber reinforced plastic and on which other components can be fastened or supported.

  • Publication number: 20070175552
Abstract: The invention relates to a beta titanium alloy that has high strength and good plastic characteristics prior to curing for the purposes of effective formability and also has high fatigue strength. The beta titanium alloy accordingly contains (in mass %): V: 10 to 17%, Fe: 2 to 5%, Al: 2 to 5%, Mo: 0.1 to 3%, and optionally one or more alloy elements from the group of Sn, Si, Cr, Nb, Zr according to the following proportions: Sn: 0.1 to 3%, Si: 0.1?2%, Cr: ?2%, Nb: ?2%, Zr: ?2%, wherein additional contents of C and of elements from the group of the lanthanides may be present, and as the remainder Ti and inevitable impurities. The invention also relates to a method by means of which high-strength components may be produced cost-effectively from an alloy of this type.
