Abstract: A protective helmet for a head and a method for reducing or preventing a head injury wherein the protective helmet is equipped with an outer shell made of a hard material and an interior head protection system, which is arranged on the inside of the outer shell and absorbs an impact with the head. The interior head protection system is subdivided into an insert on the shell side and an insert on the head side, and the mutually facing sides of the insert on the head side and the insert on the shell side correspond at least partially to one another.

Abstract: Disclosed is a protective helmet and a method for mitigating or preventing a head injury, in which a shock-absorbing, or shock-absorbing and comfort-providing, inner wearing unit, which can comprise liners, comfort pads, protective pads, nubbed cages and/or strapped wearing units (for example spider-shaped wearing elements, wearing straps, head bands or the like), is divided into a shell-side insert and a head-side insert, which can be counter-rotated (preferably starting from application of a predetermined force) in at least one direction, wherein a sliding surface is provided that assumes the function of a rotational surface, so that the angular acceleration introduced by a blow is drastically reduced or prevented because the head-side insert and the shell-side insert, and thus the head of the wearer and the outer helmet shell, can be counter-rotated quickly and without impediment, preferably in all directions.

Abstract: A protective helmet having a shock-resistant helmet shell having a cut out for establishing a visor opening and a visor panel arranged on the outer side of the helmet shell pivotably around a pivot joint is provided with a vison panel arranged pivotably on the inner side of the helmet shell. The vision panel has at least one lateral end mounted displaceably in a guide which forma a curved section whose virtual pivot point lies outside the lateral end at a distance behind the lateral end of the vision panel so that the path of movement of the vision panel matches to the inner contour of the helmet shell. This makes possible to guide the vision panel inside the helmet shell at a substantially uniform distance from the inner side of the helmet shell, with the result that a minimum space requirement for the vision panel is required on the inner side of the helmet shell.

Abstract: The invention relates to an integral helmet comprising a shock resistant helmet shell (1) which covers the top part of the head to the neck and the ear area of a user, defines a visor opening (3) at lower and top edges and is complimented by the chin area defining the lower side of the visor opening in such a way that a slip opening (19) which totally encompasses the neck of the helmet user is formed, wherein the chin area is connected to the helmet shell (1) which upwardly pivots around a horizontal axis of rotation for enlarging the slip opening (19). The aim of said invention is to develop a light identically safe helmet. For this purpose, the chin area comprises a chin element (8) which is connected to a lateral area (4) of the shell (1) in such a way that it is pivotable around a rotatable joint having a substantially horizontal axis in order to increase the slip opening (19).

Abstract: In the case of an integral helmet with a helmet shell (1) which protects the head, with a visor opening (2) and with a chin part (4) which defines the lower side of the visor opening (2) and is provided with a plurality of functional elements and at least partially with a decorative surface, simpler handling and savings on weight can be achieved in that the chin part (4) is formed with a supporting part (8) which carries the functional elements, and in that the decorative surface is formed by at least one surface part (9) which is connected to the supporting part (8).

Abstract: The invention relates to a protective helmet comprising a shock-resistant helmet shell (1) provided with a recess for a transparent visor (3) and a viewing panel (7), in particular a sun visor which is pivotally arranged on the internal surface of the shell (1) and movable from a resting position, wherein it leaves the transparent visor (3) to be free, to a final position in which it enters into a visor opening. Said viewing panel (7) is pivotally mounted with a minimum additional space since it is, movably mounted with at least one side end (8) in a guide (9) which form an arc-shaped section whose virtual pivot point (10) is located outside said side end (8) of the viewing panel (7) and at a certain distance behind thereof.

Abstract: The invention relates to a crash helmet comprising a shock resistant helmet shell (1) provided with a visor opening (3) recoverable with a visor (12), at least one actuating element (7, 7?) which is mounted on the external surface of the shell (1), a functional element (4, 16) of the helmet adjustable by an actuating element (7, T) and the actuating element (7, T) connected to the functional element (4, 16) by a transmission device (9, 9?). The aim of the invention is to improve the operability of the actuating element (7, T) by placing the actuating element (7, 7?) on the protective helmet (1) side in the area of the lower edge thereof.

On the interior side of the chin bow at least one pot-shaped recess is provided for receiving an indicating device.
