Abstract: A hoist for mounting to a vehicle includes a support structure having a support member defining upper and lower portions. The support structure also has a connector adapted to connect the support structure to a vehicle. The support structure further includes a stabilizing member including a ground-engaging portion configured to engage a ground surface. The stabilizing member is adjustably interconnected to the support structure such that the vertical position of the ground-engaging portion of the stabilizing member can be adjusted relative to the support structure. This provides support for the support structure on a ground surface. The hoist further includes a lift connected to the support structure. The lift includes a movable lift member for hoisting an object.
