Abstract: A roof construction for a motor vehicle is provided with a forward roof part, a rearward roof part having C-columns and having a rear window, and an adjusting device moving the two roof parts between a lowered inoperative position and a closed operative position. The adjusting device has a main hinge pin about which at least the rearward roof part can be swung. By way of a hinge pin, the rear window is hinged to the C-columns. One end of a drag lever is laterally linked in each case to the rear window, and its other end is disposed on the vehicle body side in a hinge axle. The hinge axle of the drag lever is situated at a distance from the main hinge pin.

Abstract: A hardtop for a convertible includes a front roof part and a rear roof part with a fixed rear window. The front and rear roof parts are operated by a lateral folding mechanism to be moved between a raised position and a retracted position in which the roof parts are contained in a roof box. The roof box is made variable in size via a foldable portion of the rear seat. When the roof is in the raised position, the foldable portion of the rear seat forms the rear seat. When the roof is retracted, the foldable portion of the rear seat is folded forward to enlarge the roof box. A shelf is attached to the foldable portion of the rear seat, which is an upper part of a backrest and is foldable about a horizontal axis of rotation to form a floor part of the roof box. The shelf forms a front wall of the roof box when the upper part of the backrest is folded. A roll bar is movable between a raised position and a lowered position. A roller shade box is disposed at a rear area of the shelf.

Abstract: A convertible motor vehicle roof construction has the C-column sections arranged to project freely at least in their lowered inoperative position and at least along a portion of their length without any transverse connection. Control devices for the forward displacement of the rearward roof part in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle are provided so that, in the inoperative position, the C-column sections at least partially laterally flank a rear area of the vehicle interior.

Abstract: A switch system for a vehicle seat for use while adjusting a vehicle seat, is composed essentially of an operating part and individual switch bodies. By adjusting the operating part, the position of the entire vehicle seat (relative to the interior of the vehicle) can be changed. By moving the individual switch bodies located on operating part, the positions of the respective elements of the vehicle seat are changed relative to the vehicle seat. Typical elements of the vehicle seat represented by the switch bodies are a seat cushion, a seat back, and a headrest.

Abstract: A passenger car has a roof which can be lowered in a rearward vehicle structure of the vehicle body. Each lateral roof frame part is foldably connected with the rearward roof area by way of a hinge arrangement. A securing device for fastening in the respective end position is assigned to an operative position of the roof frame parts in which these project toward the front as well as to an inoperative position in which these are folded in.

Abstract: A process for preparing aromatic or heteroaromatic hydroxylamines of the general formula I ##STR1## where R.sup.1 is an unsubstituted or substituted aryl radical or an unsubstituted or substituted hetaryl radical from the pyridine or quinoline groups, by hydrogenation of nitro compounds of the general formula IIR.sup.1 --NO.sub.2 (II)where R.sup.1 has the meaning indicated above, in the presence of a platinum catalyst on an activated carbon support or in the presence of a palladium catalyst doped with sulfur or selenium on an activated carbon support, by carrying out the reaction in the presence of a nitrogen-substituted morpholine compound of the general formula III ##STR2## R.sup.2 being alkyl radicals having 1 to 5 carbon atoms and R.sup.3 to R.sup.10 being hydrogen atoms or alkyl radicals having 1 to 5 carbon atoms is described.

Abstract: A structural element for thermal insulation between two structural elements to be covered with concrete, especially a building and a projecting external part, has an insulating body to be inserted in between the structual elements and has at least integral compression elements which run transverse to the longitudinal extension of the insulating body and through them and are respectively connected to both structural elements, wherein the compression elements can have of a profile body with several especially vertically running compression bars, and wherein the length of the compression elements in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the insulating body amounts to a multiple of their vertical height.
