    Abstract: Preparations may include at least one extract of gum resins from Boswellia species and at least one omega-3 fatty acid salt selected from eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Surprisingly, such combinations of extracts of gum resins from Boswellia species and polyunsaturated fatty acid salt can cause a marked and unexpected increase in the biosynthesis of specialized pro-resolving mediators (SPM) in a synergistic manner, proposing benefit for resolution of inflammatory conditions.
