  • Publication number: 20030049860
Abstract: Analytical vessels for magnetic resonance or spectroscopic analysis comprise in their interior a fibrous substrate having bound to the surface thereof a molecule of interest having a characteristic spectrum. Conventional analytical methods employing the analytical vessels yield structural information about the molecule of interest. Also disclosed are methods for making, storing, cleaning, and reusing the analytical vessels of the invention.

  • Patent number: 6531061
Abstract: Disclosed is a disposable dialysis cassette which is flat, flexible, self-closing and applicable to solutions containing proteins, DNA, RNA, or other molecules. The dialysis cassette embodies a first and second semi-permeable dialysis membrane, or tubular dialysis membrane, sealed by a flexible frame to form a dialysis chamber having a self-closing channel for the introduction of a dialysis sample by either a pipette or other dispensing mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6007778
Abstract: A reaction tube includes a resealable cap containing a lens. The body of the tube is translucent to admit spectrographic analysis light to pass through an internal reactant and to be collected by the lens eliminating the need to open the tube and expose the reactants to contamination from atmospheric agents during spectrographic analysis. The material of the tube is selected to permit necessary heating and centrifuging needed in DNA/RNA/protein reactions synthesis applications and to corral the reactants along a predetermined optical axis.
