Abstract: Household and/or commercial cleaning articles including a textile layer, a foam or sponge layer, and/or an abrasive layer, which show Moraxella sp. inhibiting activity of a ratio of less than 0.025 (i.e. 40-fold) in a long-term polymer-matrix test. The result is the reduction of negative effects normally associated with Moraxella sp. in such articles.

Abstract: A transparent structure provided with a transparent support wall and a transparent mobile wall. The mobile wall is articulated on the support wall by at least one hinge mechanism. Each hinge mechanism has an immobile element as well as a mobile element and a pivot which articulates the immobile element on the mobile element, the pivot extending according to an axis of rotation, the axis of rotation being offset relative to the seal transversely, while being situated on a plane orthogonal to a immobile second face and not passing via the seal, the axis of rotation being offset relative to the seal in elevation, and not being incorporated in the opening which can be closed by the mobile wall.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for producing a cellulose sponge by using tertiary amine oxides, wherein a mixture of cellulose and further ingredients such as pore formers (gas, salt or blowing agents) is produced in an aqueous tertiary amine oxide, which mixture contains undissolved and/or highly swollen cellulose, and the mixture is formed and coagulated.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a regenerated cellulose-based cellular material with a long-term resistance to microorganisms—bacteria and/or fungi—and to a process for its preparation. Said material, which is of the sponge or sponge-cloth type, contains in its cellulosic bulk an effective amount of 2,4,4′-trichloro-2′-hydroxydiphenyl ether (triclosan) which is distributed and not enclosed in a matrix. At least one latex and advantageously at least one cationic compound are used together with said triclosan.
