Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for use with an electronic design. Embodiments may include receiving, using a processor, the electronic design and estimating a wire width associated with the electronic design based upon, at least in part, a current in a wire, a layer of the wire, a temperature, and an electromigration length. Embodiments may further include allowing, at a graphical user interface, a user to make an edit to a shape or a layer of the wire and generating a revised EM length, based upon, at least in part, the edit. Embodiments may also include generating one or more EM length breakpoints based upon, at least in part, the revised EM length and one or more EM rules.

Abstract: Shown is the preparation and subsequent elaboration of P-chiral compounds that can be used as a building block for many P-chiral ligands used, for example, in asymmetric catalytic reactions. Specifically, a synthesis is shown for RP(O)(OR*)CH2OH, with R=H, Ph, aryl, alkyl, and R*=menthol (and other chiral alcohol-derived moieties), especially HP(O)(OMen)CH2OH (Men=L-menthol). This versatile building block is easily synthesized via reaction of inexpensive starting materials, H3PO2, menthol as the chiral auxiliary, and paraformaldehyde.

Abstract: A method and corresponding tool are described for security policy management in a network comprising a plurality of hosts and at least one configurable policy enforcement point. The method, comprises creating one or more policy templates representing classes of usage control models within the network that are enforceable by configuration of the policy enforcement points; creating one or more policy instances, each based on one of the templates and instantiating the template for identified sets of hosts within the network to which the usage control model is to be applied, deploying the policy instances by generating and providing one or more configuration files for provisioning corresponding policy enforcement points within the network.
